No permission needed, go for it. Happy if it gives you ideas!
I just had another rip and I still reckon the coconut is just a touch too high. FLV Coconut I’ve only used a couple of times but I can definitely pick it coming through and I was thinking of halving on next try.
The custard should fill it out a bit more too, that’s the other thing it needs.
That recipe I mixed on instincts, I had bottles out to SF but got carried away.
Interesting, not come across these chocolate balls but you’re recipe sounds well tasty. It’s almost a cross between 1 recipe i have created and 2 others i am working on.
I am doing a Snowballs recipe which look similar visually but are a creamy marshmallow ball coated in both Desiccated Coconut and chocolate flakes and a Rum Truffle which has the Dark Chocolate and Mouse elements, add them 2 to my Tea Cakes that include biscuit and yours is almost those 3 all in one with added Vanilla Fudge which sounds lush!
We get rum balls, sometimes called rum truffles but they are not coated with coconut but are smooth other than the coconut looking at @marsh8’s recipe they sound the same! We do get balls with Coconut on the outside that look the same but they are large and creamy marshmallow inside which are called Snow Balls!
The Vanilla Fudge and Digestive Biscuit are new for me and as soon as I smelt the biscuit I was sure it would fit in a rum ball recipe. So, I added them to my go to chocolate and coconut to get a starting point. Not too far off.
So did I, what would Christmas be without rum balls.
How does that Vanilla Fudge come through is it ok? It’s years since i used CCW flavours but see them in peoples recipes at low percentages. When i used them the flavours where excellent but very weak needing to mix between 20 - 25% any lower they were so weak could barely taste them but see them really low in peoples recipes, confused!
It just pokes it head through there, you could easily add a bit more, I only wanted it as an accent, if it were the main I’d need a fair bit more.
The biscuit I paired at 2% with WF Shortbread Cookies in a cheesecake and that gave me what would be a more traditional base without the need of pushing it to where I saw it used in other recipes.
I would tend to mix on the lower side, generally.
Yeah it was just the CCW i wondered about because they do some great flavours that others don’t do but uncertain about using them alongside the SC flavours because like i said i use to find them very weak but i see them being treated % wise in a lot of recipes no different to stronger flavours!
How is your TD coming along? i am finding mine likes a good steep and is getting better all the time so uncertain if the Rose will need increasing after all!
I hadn’t gone back to it but just rewicked to test again.
Very sweet for me, but not too much. However too much raspberry like I said initially. What is odd is that sometimes I get the rose/turkish delight flavour coming through and then other times not.
Not sure yet which way to go because the texture is fairly close but the Red Soft Candy might need to be swapped out. I do like what the FLV Frosting and Sugar Orchid are doing in there.
“I want peppermint/menthol vape, BUT not candy, creamy or fruity.”
So, my work mate tells me. That really stumped me, what else could there be?
I mixed these the other day after the odd request. I had the VSO mints for a while but never tried them so in they went. Still waiting for feedback.
But interested to see if anyone has any other ideas…
the max I have enjoyed flv peppermint is .6% anything higher and my nose twitches.
it’s def going to be lemmony
Ice is fine… but you will blow out someone’s nose with cool menthol at .5%
I like a spearmint or peppermint icy vape and normally use it like:
This recipe has not changed in 4 yrs lol… but if you look to see how I staggered them… it just works. This is my go to when I am so burnt out of the rest of my recipes
I normally use around there too, but he did tell me to knock his socks off
Not as much as I expected, more a bit of lemon on the end. I did however bomb it will peppermint and cool menthol. Part of the plan, but I did think I was pushing the line.
I have all these but it’s off to work I go…will give it a whirl next mix up.
