Would you be shocked to know I’m into the Soprano’s? Acclaimed as THE best series ever! An Italian mob boss with mommy issues that see’s a psychiatrist. NOT good in that industry.

Has panic attacks and passes out on the most inconvenient times. Saw an episode at an old mans house across the street while visiting, We didn’t have HBO, because we were too frugal at the time.

Remembered it about 15 years ago and season one was available on Amazon. No other seasons. Bought it, one episode a week, got season 2, watched season 1, then 2, got season three… You get the idea.

Season 6 part 2. Last episode. Never watched it until its 10th anniversary.

Your left wondering if the boss, Tony died or not. BIG controversy.

Why do I like Pauly Walnuts so much? SUCH a dumb ass. Not like me at all… I promise. Why do my recipes mention Cogliones? It’s Italian slang for testicles. Means,. dumb ass, idiot moron…etc.

Check out Breaking Bad and Modern Family. Breaking Bad is a comedy drama. A school chemistry teacher has cancer and turns to making meth to pay for his Chemo. By the series end, he’s responsible for 168 deaths, directly, or indirectly.

Modern Family. Pure comedy. Not generally a fan of comedy unless it’s MASH, the Golden Girls or the Golden Palace, (Betty White) but this show is Iconic.

Brilliant idiot dad, named Phil, a hot wife from Boston Legal (Another good one staring Captain Kirk as a demented womanizer)

The Dumphy’s oldest probably dies her hair. Dumb as a rock. The next girl is a genius and the youngest boy is a runner up to the oldest girl.

Then you have the dad. Jay Pritchet. Man from Married with Children. Based on the difference in characters I do believe he’s a great actor. Gotta be late 60’s married a 30 year old trophy wife from Columbia. HOT!

Thy have a kid named Manny. Not exactly effeminate, but definitely in touch with his feminine side.

Then theirs the gay son. In real life, he really is gay, while his partner is not, but on the show his character is WAY gay. You’ll actually end up loving to hate him.

Kick 'em when they’re up, kick 'em when they’re down. He don’t have to look good, he just he just needs to be clear.

Hey, I forgot the Bubble headed Bleach Blonds that come on at 5:00. Probably still hang with him, too.

Horatio Hornblower, based on books by C.S. Forester. Read them all as a teenager. 11 novels and 5 short stories from the late 30’s. 8 mini series on A&E starting 1998. You may remember one from that '50’s staring Gregory Peck.

17 year old kid joins the British Navy as a mid-ship-man and rises to an Admiral. Even though he graduated as a Grecian, he can’t pass a navel test worth a shit. But his bravery, leadership and intellect gets him promoted.

Napoleonic war era. VERY accurate. Intense action and story telling. At the time they were THE most expensive movies produced by the U.K. VERY difficult to film. Where in the world can you find any sea’s with no air craft flying overhead.

Worked with a feller that claimed not to like war movies. Talked him into watching the 1st episode (DVD). Came in the next day saying even his wife liked it and asked for the next in the series. Can’t recommend enough!

ITVX, where it streams for free with ads or via a premium service, and on Amazon Video, Apple TV**, and Plex

Horatio Hornblower trailer.

We all know woman should come with a manual, but come on! Wife loves the Soprano’s as much as I do.

Early in this movie they show the “Sheriffs” dragging their target behind a horse then choking him with a garrote. Tony Soprano uses a wire to do the same thing to a snitch. Blood and all. In another scene we see 2 thugs slicing the carcass of a dead man through a meat slicer. Wife thinks it’s cool.

In another scene 2 thugs dig up a murdered body to relocate him. They show how his finger nails “grew”. A nurse of over 45 years, she always comments that finger nails don’t continue to grow, rather the skin around them shrinks.

A psychiatrist is raped. No problem.

A guy getting dragged behind a horse? Not good. Played some game on her phone for the next 100 minutes, not watching an awesome movie???

Loves Breaking Bad. Dude gets his head squished under an ATM machine. Cool. Dude gets half his face blown off in an explosion, exits the room, fixes his tie, turns so the camera can catch what’s left of half his face and falls over dead. Cool! Funny as hell!

I thought it was a great movie! Far less violent than the Sopranos or Breaking bad. Or any of the other crime/drama shows we watch. I think The Sopranos is a comedy drama.

@whthek I hadn’t heard of it before now, and when looking into it, I now know why. The “others” did everything they could to suppress, remove, and kill it. Wonder why ??

Just made me want to watch it more, and spread the word.
