Well, it is just a movie which sweats pure joy:
The story about his vodka is pretty cool, I bet he’s a Freemason though. I should’ve used a handshake on him when we were introduced
Yeah those were good too, British humour was my grandma’s thing…. We had a station that played this series called ‘keeping up appearances’ which she loved
The British version of the Office was great too
In the UK we call it The Office as the US one is a remake.
Oh that always reminds me of my great aunt. She was the only one without a posh background and went overboard in appearing refined. Whereas my grandmother would tell us all about the latest European sex comedy she’d watched that week.
Last night, I decided to look at my epic movie queue and chose Trail of the Screaming Forehead.
This is definitely one for B-movie lovers as the acting was a mix of late 50s Sci-Fi and had countless Cronenberg moments. Although, they all felt like they were filtered through the original Basket Case.
So, if you are one who loves schlock - you have to watch it. It is currently available on Prime and YouTube for free.
I’m putting together a rather eclectic collection of media for Lenton reflection.
Some will be obvious for me: Father Ted’s Cigarettes, Rollerblading, and Alcohol.
I will also use Dogma with the more sedate members of the laity.
Been watching documentaries on Lenin, Bolsheviks, and Socialists like the Nazis as well
This is well worth a watch to get a grasp of the banality of evil. I view this series as the best way to understand such a horrific event for those who cannot easily visit and stand on the ashes, see all the shoes, or struggle to comprehend it in person.
I will watch that, been reading a bit about it too… Picked up some books but I got tinnitus so bad most of the time I can’t focus on books that well… Been having to write down what I read because I don’t remember it
Hopefully you find them informative. Although, it is watch where you shake your head at humanity.
Luckily I do not have tinnitus due to having ultra-sensitive hearing which means I rely on very low volumes. Although, I have an auditory hallucination of crickets or other strigulating insects when my body decides that I am tired: Along with the oddity of an increased auditory range. So, that’s my distracting background white noise.
A series of videos I just recorded for my wife teaching math for special education students. So far so good. Got about three more hours of uploading before I can review all of it.
Very nice @SmilingOgre.
Maths and SEN is a draining field. As such, I commend you and your wife for working within it.
