That’s my story and I’m sticking to it
Not really a big ORANGE fan, but now you all got me thinking, should I try this , ( maybe an Orange Teriyaki :face_with_monocle: )
yeah I do have a couple Orange mixes (other than knuckle test haven’t vaped it) just mix it for a bro at work :ok_hand:
Think I said that ‘bout blueberry too, but look where I am now, blue in the face  :blue_heart: That’s what I love about these kind of threads, puts a whole new perspective on things with some great input (not from me :upside_down_face: ) but I can soak it all up :sunglasses:

I took another taste of my #2 mix and it has me thinking. I have mix #3 on paper but want to see how this current one plays out over the next couple of days. Citrus is notorious for changes over short periods of time so I need to get an idea of where it settles. But I’m definitely finding that LOW usage of orange is far more important than perfection of the cream base.

For the orange part of it, I have the orange part of a Five Pawns Queenside clone in mind.

Well I gotta say I’m in that boat with you. I couldn’t find ANY recent orange recipes, and had to dig to find that one I did. I will say however, after some orangey vapey vape, @SthrnMixer might have just changed my mind.

For those that have had an Orange Creamsicle I thought of a flavour that may work - do you guys have a powdered orange drink called Tang over there? Would you say the orange in the creamsicle is similar?

Hmmmm, they are similar, and having Tang’d before, I don’t know what would happen if you paired it with some creams. That’s actually a great question. I think Tang might have some Lime in it, I have to check. My guts telling me similar @woftam.

You know what @woftam, I think you might BE onto something here…

Ah we have just a straight Orange one here

I was thinking that WF Orange Juice may have a place as a modifier for a another orange
My notes
Orange Juice Wonder Flavours 1- 1.5
This is bang on powdered orange concentrate that is not quite mixed fully (down to the powder notes you get from it). Try it with pixie stick and ooo powdered sugar for orange sherbert Aussie style (not sorbet)

Have you ever tried …

Tang, in terms of flavor profile, is quite similar. However, Tang is also very acidic. That strong lean toward the citric acid side of orange is very prevalent in Tang, but very subdued in a Creamsicle. It doesn’t have the chalkiness of a baby aspirin, or the bite of most hard orange candies. It’s soft, smooth and very creamy.

I was going to suggest the VT Tang, I think the creams mite mellow out the sharpness of the citric acid. Maybe have the tang as the base supported by another more mellow orange and a heavier cream.

I’m asking myself how orange forward is an orange dreamsicle really, or is the creaminess with an orange (sort of) tang? Iwas even thinking of adding bergamot instead of mandarin…
