Naturevape also do pre-built tri-core fused claptons!
Probably so… but dave sent me a whole grab bag of different coils and I just thru them in, I already thought of changing them out but haven’t got back to it… I got so many tanks running and that one still has the same mix in it that I broke it in with…
Yeah, I have never been super smitten with Ni wire, but, not a ton of time with it.
I just checked, and it seems most everyone is OOS.
Again, different strokes, I prefer Ni80 to any other wire! I like using replay on DNAC devices so tend to use hybrid coils SS/Ni80!
Well that’s an interesting combo. What do you feel the gains are having both together ?
As mentioned for flavour i prefer Ni80 but a TC wire needs to be included to be able to use with Replay, get much better flavour than using just SS coils!
Ahhh, very smart.
@Illogik more learning material …
I think @SessionDrummer has already nailed everything to know bout makin coils.
I use Kanthal in very small MTL builds just to get the resistance up to about an ohm in the limited space. I use either SS or SS single core clapton wire in rigs I use with TC. I think I can taste a bit of a difference between the metals for maybe 15 minutes and then they just taste like a vape. I played around with multiple cores for a bit because I bought a coiling jig/whosit/watsit but can’t say I noticed any difference. Wicking to me has always been the key to getting a good vape. Finding the sweet spot between not enough flavor delivered and flooding/gurgling. I think the bottom line is to go at it like a hobby. Experiment. See what you like.
Great, not yet mentioned point @SmilingOgre.
And the BEST point ^^^.
Very helpful guys, thank you very much.
