Need coil advice for my incoming SC Aromamizer Supreme v3

Should be stripped of his title, lol! Neither do I! I am pretty sure he does have the Titan!

Evidence! Immediate stripping of all titles and privileges!

That wire is doable but not ideal for such a big tank, maybe more patience and get some pre-wound while you do more research if in future you want to wind your own, @anon72991949 likes his big atties and might be able to suggest ideal coils to get!

I already have a bunch of premade coils on their way, hopefully they will arrive tomorrow but knowing my luck, probably not.

I need to nip out to Asda so hopefully you might get better advice with your 24ga while I am gone!

@Illogik ANY coil(s) you can fit in there will be ā€œsuitableā€, BUT, some will work better than others. You can surely limp along with just about anything you can jam in there, BUT, single wire coils on monster decks, may not unleash the total flavor. Ideally (operative phrase), you could probably get some dual/tripple core claptons in there, with increased surface area, that will unleash even more flavor.

Makes sense. The coils I ordered yesterday have been shipped so hopefully they will arrive tomorrow and I can get rid of this leaky ass mesh deck and get a proper build in there.

Yeah, 3mm is fine. The bigger the coil, the fatter the wick you can use, BUT, you have to size it so your tails will still fit in without packing. 3mm is a great general size.

This is what I have coming tomorrow:

They did actually have those chain link ones you were on about

Yes, I never picked up the mega Titan. I could have, but as the decks just kept getting bigger and bigger, for me, there weren’t any massive flavor gains, so I held off. The Titan is a mean setup, and will produce some sick flavor. It’s a big beast, which just requires a bigger mod, typically larger (or complex) coils to really shine, etc.

I stopped going bigger at the Plus, which seemed pretty damned good. I look back at many of my older, and smaller setups, and they just scream with flavor, so you don’t need mega big to get flavor.

@Illogik once you get all your equipment, it would interesting for you to compare the smaller Supreme to the Titan, and see what YOU think.

Hehe, SEE, there’s ALWAYS some NEW, and SUPER DUPER coil out there, that will RE-invent flava !!!

Hehe, I’m not hating on complexity, but as I sit down to do my many, many flavor tests, and I look at my little, old, RDTA v.1, with it’s super simple single wire coils, and the flavor it produces, I’m just amazed. Sometimes more is more, but sometimes, less is more.

I get what you say about the flavour and I’m all for flavour and nothing else. I couldn’t care less about clouds etc. The flavour is pretty immense on this titan even with the mesh deck so I’m expecting my taste bud to get blown out tomorrow when I get a proper build in there with a couple of coils.

What made me instantly want the titan when I saw it though, was the 32ml tank

Agree, personally I would be looking at tri-core fused claptons maybe Staple framed claptons, either should sing in it!

Your 24ga wire would work great in a single coil RDL RTA like the Serpent Elevate!

I’ve never even heard of that one Tim! Surely it would be fine for the Supreme v3?

It will be fine, yes! Different strokes I just personally prefer single coil tanks!

I mostly use the Wotofo Tri Core Fused Claptons on a 20ft Roll, although the tri-core is getting hard to find lately…

In my Supreme v3 I’m running a set of coils from @Daveflowers9, I think they are Ni90 aliens…

Interesting! I know Ni90 is popular among mech users due to the quicker ramp up in comparison to Ni80 but is inferior in flavour at least that’s what I have read many times!

Thanks @anon72991949 I’ll grab some of those at some point and give them a try. :+1:
