Need coil advice for my incoming SC Aromamizer Supreme v3

You prefer the series deck to the single coil deck for flavour?

Well I like them equally to be able to switch up my vape

If I get this spool of wire, will it be suitable to build coils for the supreme v3 and the titan or will I need something different for the titan?

Also, is this brand ok?

This place is great for wire and coils…

Bookmarked, thanks @Grubby.

For now I just want to grab something quickly that will work for both the v3 and titan if thats possible until payday when I can grab some other stuff specific to each one and try different types etc. Bit skint now though, hence the cheapo stuff on Amazon I linked. Will that work in the titan and v3?

Edit: I’m not looking to build the coils myself just yet. I’m just wanting a roll of fused clapton or something that I can wrap myself until I feel up to making my own coils from scratch. If that makes sense.

Looking through the choices on the site you linked and I have no idea which ones would be suitable for the v3 or titan. Are these spools of wire ready made stuff that’s ready to wrap with or are these reels of wire that you use with other wire to build fancy coils with multiple cores etc?

Both :+1:

Yeah thanks Grubby, just going through all the premade ones for now. These are pretty damn cheap. Thanks for the link.

Anything can be suitable, but some will work better than others, and your tastes, will dictate it @Illogik. You have to read the fine print on that wire site. They sell single wire, wires, and they also sell multi wire wire if that make sense.

If you see multiple gauges listed, then you’ve got a clapton, multi-core, etc. type wire. If you see only ONE gauge, then that’s a single wire.

I just got a bunch of different premade ones for now from that super-cheap site Grubby linked for me.

Is this suitable to make coils for the titan while I wait for some better stuff to arrive?

Sure, @SessionDrummer can probably give you the correct ID and wraps for what you are looking for, he is the Steam Crave connoisseur and I believe uses 24ga!

Cool, I will have a play around with it and see what I can make. Thanks Tim.

@Timwis How did you find out that this wire is 24ga? I just ask because it’s only like .5mm thick, does that sound right? It seems really thin. 10 wraps is barely like 5mm wide. I obviously have no clue, just curious

You said it was, lol!

Oh yeah, so I did! LOL sorry. I told you I have no clue! I wasn’t lying! :man_facepalming:

About 3.0ID will be ok and maybe 7 wraps but i’m guestimating. @SessionDrummer already mentioned he uses 24ga so if you hold fire until he see’s his notifications he will be able to help more, I tend to use pre-wound as I am lazy!

Mr Steam Crave linked a guide to wrapping this 24ga wire earlier in this thread but it’s not for the titan. I’m sure Mr steam Crave even told me that he doesn’t even have a titan

It’s thin because it’s single wire, when using fused claptons, Aliens etc the coils are made up of multiple wires hence much thicker!

Yeah SD mentioned that to me also. I just can’t believe how tiny these things are, the coils and the wire.
