Through the windshield …
That’s beautiful!
Hopefully your car insurance covers celestial events causing broken windshields.
Lots of surface to cover on that project,
Two coats, Jose? Looks good!
The stairs? Make that six, the paint didn’t cover very well. The wall behind is not so bad, but it has to be covered in that stuff that prevents the paint from just soaking in.
I’m out of money, so I can have a break until I get some.
The results after finishing the 1,500 grit polish. Now I need to slowly take it to 6,000. A slow process, as I do all by hand.
Being in the top 1%, according to ASDA.
It seems they’ve spotted my preference for homebrewing all.

Getting to know what the next Pandemic will be:
You better avoid bald Brits in wheelchairs then.
A package which arrived when it was classed as lost and refunded.
I have no objection to having additional sanding sponges and precision tweezers - I just need to ensure that I pay my luck forward.
I’ve been to the park with the dog! For the first time in about 5 weeks she didn’t run up the stairs when I got the leash.
It was a slow, wobbly walk. It took some effort and concentration, not falling over being my main concern. But, we got there in the end.
Fudge had a mad run through the park. She needed that! ![]()
-51C this weekend, the previous Socialist Party that was in charge previously phased out a bunch of our Coal plants and made us rely on 30% Renewable energy… of that 30% Solar/Wind over the Winter (reduced sun, no wind) it has been producing .5% of the energy it is supposed to.
Our Climate Cultist (an admitted “Proud Socialist”) wants to phase out all gas powered vehicles by 2030.
They do no run under -25C which is pretty common most of the winter and an Electrical Engineer I follow says if you were to use a super charger for your tesla not only do you need to rewire your house if it’s over 30 years old but it will quadruple your energy bill.
I found a piece of bark last year that reminded me of a turtle. The wood holding it together was pretty rotten, so I scraped it away and made a clay paste to keep it all together.
That was back in August.
I’ve been too busy to get on with it, until last week.
Since I can’t do much more than sit, it is a perfect way to pass the time.
It doesn’t take much physical energy and keeps the mind busy.
I’ve got a great model to work from
and yes, that is grass in that bowl.
It’s not finished by a long shot. I’m talking about the turtle. The joint will be put together in no time at all.
Does this really make you smile @JoelSq?
Looks like it’s coming along well - I look forward to seeing how it develops.
Although, I must admit that the one on the left reminded me of a penis with a pizza draped over it. But, that’s what most turtles are.
In that case I might make it a little larger. That’s the benefit of clay, you can always expand when necessary.
Although it does tend to dissolve when it’s wet for too long. ![]()
Well that depends on how it is wetted.
I enjoy epoxies, clays, and putties too - they are very forgiving when it comes to mistakes and changes of plan.
So do I. It’s usually a surprise to me too. Things just seem to develop on their own.
And when you don’t like the end result at all, you just dump it in water until it’s pliable again.
I love the stuff.
