What are you watching? (TV, movies, streaming)

I’ll only watch a ‘Bro’ video when someone (who’s only Christian) spends time on context. Sadly, none have ever tried.

If not, we’ll have the professional delusionists (like dowsers) and mighty charlatans (Sylvia Browne - you still refuse to try for $1m or to answer questions!) - well, it is the perennial reminder that Prosperity Gospel, Deliverance and End Times Ministry as complete, utterly total and without restraint Blasphemy.

Sadly, it is all blasphemy, con, and a tax free charge on those in need.

I just finished watching Peaky Blinders and let me tell you it wasn’t bad))
I am not a fan of the 5th and 6th season HOWEVER all the other were extremly interesting and pleasant to watch. The music, the picture itself and atmosphere was great.
who else has seen it?

Oddly, as a Brit, I haven’t seen a single episode, although I have added it to my epically long watch list - sadly there are still deranged B-movies from the 70s - 90s I haven’t watched yet.

Tonight I’ll be watching Human Experiments while pondering all movies I’ll share for my annual Advent Calendar of DOOOOM! This time, I’ll need to go beyond the easy options of Santa’s Slay, Rare Exports, all of the Krampus movies etc (I’ve added the trailers for those who prefer Jack Frost over Jack Frost).

HO HO HOES!

I have just noticed that The IT Crowd is being added to YouTube. As most gifts like this I share tend to be taken down hours after I share them - I would just give a hint, if a friend of a friend was inclined to watch them: If they happened to remember the name of the show, the series number and possibly the episode as well, then they may unwittingly stumble across them.

I just sat down to watch the 10th and 14th (or 11th,12th, and 16th - based on other reckoning) Doctor’s return, and I loved it.

It addressed all (apart from the The Timeless Children mess - hopefully all will agree to ignore it as a non-canonical episode: or wipe the thirteenth from the record) from the utter mess of the Chibnall garbage (I gave up after two episodes of that drivel) and reframed gender, pronouns, and identity in a mature style.

For the first time in years, I have hope for the future of Doctor Who.

Oh and ‘round things’ with a console styled after the original:

I am going through a few materials for meetings on care perception and prayer - I look forward to all experiencing some of Derren’s work to frame and guide reflection:

Oddly I was asked to prep a course on how news manipulates fact.

Obviously Brass Eye was the first source which came to mind:

In addition to ma creating my Advent list, I’m collecting materials on faith and healing for study groups.

This is a magic trick, though it is visceral and gory: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I’m watching this while digesting breakfast. Yes, I had breakfast at 7:30pm - a busy day.

Great posts @SquirrelSmash. The first one with the surgical magic trick answered a question that I’ve had since I watched a documentary about it in my childhood. I remember watching it and not understanding what had actually taken place and now I know.
The haunted London underground I have watched before and found it very interesting and yet unsurprising as I have always felt those places to be rather “atmospheric” shall we say.

Thanks. I cannot talk at length due to a mental heath break.

Thank you - my fellow anachronistic vaper: your words mean a lot.

I will try a proper rest tomorrow, though hard when this silly little universe constantly requests me to help, and a moron handling matters is unacceptable.
