What are you watching? (TV, movies, streaming)

I’ve done something similar, in the past… it was a free 1week trial of a streaming service! Lol

This is very important, watch at the very least the first 30 minutes…

If you’re unaware, this is James Lindsay and he’s been warning about this for years now.

Watched both seasons. It’s weird in that mixes violence which IMO should be rated TV-17, but has kiddy characters which would attract ones as young as toddlers. Season 1 was great. Season 2…it’s like a 5th grade drama class took over. Great concept - piss poor execution.

I’ve been watching BARRY on HBO. I somehow missed this when it came out. That Noho Hank is a character… Good black humor show.

Just watched for about the 6th time on the BBC “Scream For Me Sarajevo” A documentary about when Bruce Dickinson “Lead singer of Iron Maiden, commercial air pilot and Olympian Fencer” did a gig in Sarajevo with his solo band when it was a war zone!

Watched Idiocracy last week with my daughter. It is meant to be a comedy but I found it terrifying as it is quite plausible to me. The premise is now that everybody is kept somehow cradle to grave, natural selection no longer works. More intelligent people have few children while the morons keep pumping them out at substantial rates. Over a short period of time the intelligence of the human race plummets leaving the earth inhabited by morons. Like the book 1984 there is a lot of supporting evidence happening today. One excerpt is a young man eating a tub of butter and drinking Gaterade while watching some fool on TV getting his balls bashed in repetitively. The hit move of the year is ass. Literally two hours of an ass on the screen. Actually made me feel good to be old.

Welcome to the REAL brother. I love that movie, and it really did turn into a low(er) budget cult classic, and YES, it starts out as funny, but as it wears on, … the FEAR starts to sink in. PERFECTLY stated.

Another one my daughter turned me on to was “Don’t look up”. Again prosed as a comedy but echo’s REAL as you put it. Could double as a documentary of how Gooberment really works.
