Nicely done Walt.
LOL…not far behind ya!
I got lost in the technical jargon, but you painted an excellent picture of the layout, @SmilingOgre
I did notice the 6 string base
It must be difficult to avoid looking directly into the camera’s, with so many of them.
I can see why!
And, nicely done!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! There’s always room for improvement and there are some things I want to switch up next time.
Watched the whole video…very interesting
I have been watching a lot of the snooker world championships the last week and had a sudden thought. Could members from Canada give any insight into why Canadian talent has dried up? At one time it was a hot bed! I can remember when at the top of the game we had the snore bore, cocaine snorter and the 15 pints a session man, in fact it was the snore bore who made the first ever televised 147 break (just a little slower than Ronnie, lol) but haven’t noticed a single Canadian player at the televised stages of a snooker tournament for decades.
Is the league big enough to pay players to travel? Its nuts here to travel, if a player isnt in a dense area with competition they probably arent up to snuff, maybe. I think snooker is mostly about shot ability but dont think youd benefit from a low skill player base
Absolutely no idea Tim. I haven’t been in a pool hall for 30 years, and haven’t noticed snooker ever on TV.
Not snooker, but this.
Not sure if you use to get televised snooker over there mate but if you know which players I am referring to, Cliff Thorburn, Kirk Stevens and Bill Werbeniuk, they were all ranked in the top 16 for years at the same time in the 80’s appearing in every televised tournament then from the 90’s not seen a single player it just seems strange how you can have three of the best snooker players in the world at the same time then suddenly nothing for decades.
To be honest only watched bits of this but it wasn’t just filmed in and around Bolton where I live but they did 2 full days of filming within yards of our flat.
Red Rose originally on BBC but now on Netflix:
This taken from the included trailer is my actual view from the exit door to our flats and if you can imagine where the camera is positioned our kitchen window is literally about one and half yards to the right:
And this is on the grass at the top of the last photo which is taken from the longer original BBC trailer:
The other filming was done the other side of our flat but just as close a few weeks earlier!
I know a fight scene was filmed on the grass where they are sitting down but I haven’t actually watched but we got letters through telling us when they were filming and a fight scene was mentioned!
Well hell, Tim…why didn’t you walk through while they were shooting, blowing a huge cloud?! lol
Yeah, THAT figures @JoelSq.
That’s outstanding @Timwis and very interesting.
Spent the whole weekend watching The Block Australia. 49 episodes in 3 days. Only 2 episodes to go.
