What are you watching? (TV, movies, streaming)

Watched it! Nothing is out of the realm of possibility, SD. Aside from being beamed up. LOL And maybe that’s on the horizon :man_shrugging:

I’ve been watching a lot of Tubi lately. For those unfamiliar…it’s free streaming movies. Really I haven’t explored it that much. I been watching nothing but old Westerns for the last month or so. Also if you pick a category it will randomly go to another movie once the one you are watching ends. I fell asleep with it on last night and when I woke up there was a movie on called Tumbleweeds. It was a silent movie with the subtitles and hokey pokey music background. 1925. I nearly shat myself.

Now I also don’t know if it’s blacked out outside of the US. If so you could try a VPN set to a US server. Movies do have ads but they’re typically fairly short and spaced out nicely.

EDIT - one more thing about Tubi. It’s free as I said, but if you make an account to log in (not necessary) it will keep track of your watch history and allow you to resume anything you stopped viewing before it ended.

Just watched this one this morning…My, my, how far we’ve come, in some respect’s. From flipping an array of onboard ‘circuit breakers’ to get the engine’s started for the trip back home, to what I would guess to be a computer program activated by satellite, or some such thing, today. A handful of the actual MC team(now old timers) narrated. Enjoyed it!

Wow, what a GREAT series, and one that was randomly discovered.

Starts out with a familiar theme, but grows into something, much, much more.

Been binge watching this Aussie show I found on Netflix, Outback Truckers:
https://youtu.be/WLdz0qnsehE
It’s pretty cool (and dangerous), leaning a lot about the Australian trucking industry in the process…
For instance the “90 Mile Straight” may just be @woftam’s driveway

The 90 mile straight is an awesome place in the right car just so happens last time i was there (it was awhile back) but I was in the right car.

WOW! Way to easy to get carried away with the accelerator, on that road. Can you say ‘radar trap’…lol
Steering wheels’ on the right side…you guy’s drive on the wrong side of the road in Australia,TOO!

It is quite remote so very little double bubble trouble

Last time I was there (long time ago) was on a motor bike.

Was OK, bit boring as couldn’t go too fast back then as fuel was an issue. Bike didn’t hold that much and would use it exponentially depending on speed.

Still not sure if I like it or not, but it WILL transport you somewhere else …

I had forgotten about this one. Saw it when it came out but watched the second time today. Farcical and fantastic. Beautiful special effects.

I saw this trending on Netflix, and thought, “Nah, that’s not for me”. Broke down, and after the FIRST episode, was ready to throw in the towel, but turned out much better. If you can make it past the cultural differences, overacting, and voice overs, you might JUST be surprised.

Quite addictive… I enjoyed it. There is also Alice in Borderland if you enjoyed this.

Just finished it. Probably my best series in last 2 years. Not typical Hollywood, not too intense, but intelligent + brilliant acting. I wish it would continue.

I failed in every aspect of above, absolute garbage and terrible acting! It’s funny some people really like this while others like me think it’s rubbish, amazing how something can split opinion by such a degree

I’ve heard everything from “200 million dollar sleeper”, to “Best new series out”, so we’ll see what’s what.

The Dirt (a light hearted biography of Motley Crue) on Netflix was an entertaining watch and brought back memories of the Music i grew up with!
