Vape Mail 2019

Haha if you mention me, they might throw you out! I think on Saturdays they have 10% off anything over $50. Shoot me a PM if you are going to be out here, I’ll buy you lunch or dinner.

Got a cheap and cheerful little mod yesterday in the post, the timing couldn’t have been much better as I had bust 2 mods in the last 4 days with the awful weather here… Got the thinkvape thor pro, quite happy with this mod as an everyday beater to use, light, hits hard (on hard setting) and feels nice to hold

Can’t say I have used the Dragon a lot so far but here are my observations thus far compared to the Hohm Base.

Works with every battery I have tried, 18650, 20700, 21700 and 26650. Haven’t had the issues Gary brought up even with batteries that have a double wrap on them. Sliders are smooth, no complaints there.

The Hohm Base is way more simple to use and pick modes. I don’t have to glance at the user’s manual for the HB but do with the Dragon to figure out how to select different modes. Sucks that I misplaced the Dragon manual, had to download a PDF for it. I like that the HB defaults to 0.5 amp charging, the Dragon is 1 amp and you have to change that everytime, annoying as most chargers default to .5 maps. Still have not tried the capacity or refresh functions but plan to use the same battery to compare both chargers results. Still don’t know if you can select different modes for different slots on the Dragon, the manual doesn’t make that clear, easy to do on the HB.

Right now I am more of a fan of the Hohm Base but that might be just from familiarity. I have 4 20700 batteries in the HB running battery doctor, was going to try it on the Dragon but could not find the manual. I have never had any problems with Xtar chargers though, my first good charger is the Xtar VC4 and it still works great.

I do wish hohm tech would release a Hohm base with a better sled that took 2X700 batteries with ease and made it easier to remove your batteries. Aside from that it has been a work horse for me and time will tell how the Dragon will compare.

The OFRF Gear showed up today and I’m digging it. Getting pretty good flavor from the coil that came with. Don’t look to bad on the Charon mini either imo. I kinda wish I would have bought two!

The undercover enabler brother @Jim22 had that Fatality 25M fully embedded in my #enabled mind and finally tracked down a gunmetal.

I gotta admit, it is pretty damn good so far. Hey @Jim22 , how do you have your airflow? I have the bottom wide open right now and the top a little open but have only messed with it for about an hour. Already put it on the Paranormal 250C, much better than the aspire mod.

Also got my VapeNW goodies in, that Fumytech Rose MTL tank sure has impressive build quality. A lot of goodies for cheap, gonna be busy . I do like the Aspire mod, TC just doesn’t match the 250C but it is a sharp looking bastard and TC is not bad, sure is comfortable to hold and a deal at like $25 or so.

The VV Kylin M arrived today.
I have set it up with the VV SS316 200 mesh, for comparison purposes, and thus far am suitably impressed. It is certainly a thirsty little bugger though

I’ll need to get that bubble glass on pronto.

I’m loving it, the airflow is great, I actually have it about 1/3 closed, it just suits my style, really thick dense flavour.
I am fast becoming a mesh whore

I did the same thing with my matte black Kylin M, in a rush and forgot to install the bubble glass…To quote the wise and hungry Ogre [SmilingOgre]
Watching it go down was like watching a toilet flush.

I have to admit, haven’t used the Profile RTA in a while, not that it is a worse performer but I like the looks of the M better and flavor is just as good.

I think they are both pretty good looking RTA’s

I get monster flavour from the Doom as well.
Maybe I have just been lucky with my wicking :grinning:

I got great flavor with my first Doom build but 3 tanks in I sprung a leak, the Doom did too :laughing: Have been so busy that haven’t had the time to redo it, gonna get around to it one of these days.

How do you think the Doom compares to the Kylin M?

To be honest I really can’t decide, bearing in mind that I only got the Kylin M a few of hours ago, but at this stage they are even Steven to me.
I have them both running VV200 SS and the same wick, so maybe another few days should tell me a bit more.

Yeah, when I had the Doom going good I thought it was too close to call as well. It still boggles my mind how a friend of mine said the Kylin M is the worst RTA ever, I was like whaaaaaaat.

Eventually I will get back to the Doom but these 100F+ days are killing me, get home and just want to sit in a tub of ice :triumph::triumph::triumph:

I am so lucky to be retired, I can play all day :grinning:
We had -2C here the past few days, so not suffering like you.
I reckon the guy who said the Kylin M is so crap needs a frontal labotomy

Yeah, blew my mind, thought maybe he got a factory sample with a major defect, like they forgot to drill out the airflow holes?

Well the good, it is pretty kool :sunglasses:

The bad, only holds 4ml of juice :flushed: and it is tricky to navigate but I finally figured it out. I watched vaping with vic yt on it and figured out the rest using the manual. Got the ess dialed in and it is feeding my RDA with juicy juice.

So far the TC is pretty spot on, more SX550J like than the lesser Yihi chips. Hits like the G Class too, no complaints so far.

Pretty cool but this is gonna be a house ho, may never see the road…sniff sniff.
