Tested with my elder dragon using a framed staple coil. It’s not bad. The orange seems to sit in the background but I think I may need to add another 1/2 or 1 percent. Also I’m getting a bit of a peppery note, not sure where its coming from. This is the first time I’ve used Vanilla Ice Cream by Liquid Barn, so I’m assuming that’s the culprit. Hopefully it will fade in a few days. I would probably add a drop of Purilium WS-3 per 20 mls and .5 % sweetener or less if using super sweet.
Im curious how this would “Steep out” cause I have every ingredient there 10 feet from me
Im not a pepper taster. . for the record. I ve done the swirl/LB combo with ~.5% Hangsen VIC to fill out the middle some. @SmokyBlue struck a chord when she mentioned the TPA Swirl and pepper tasters, though. as I recall
Typing with fatfingering and not proofreading. or worse. Android voice to text… @SmokyBlue im not trying to regender you - I promise. multitasking and lack of attention to details. please forgive!
@Deerslayer, @Tmease I DO do that, but not always. For my MEGA cream/custard bases, often times I will stone them up and let’m perk, and then depending on the “toppings” add those in later. With Lemons, it depends on what’s what, because most are prone to fading. Sometimes I’ll add 40% of it early on, let it meld, and top it off with the last 60% closer to finishing, but it depends.
Hehe, well your flavors WILL dictate how, where, and when you use it, AND, how fast you go through the recipes. If you KNOW you’re going to be sitting on a large batch for quite a while, pouring in Lemon(s) only to have them fade out sitting on the shelf is bleh, so, you have to use it wisely.
Some Lemons stay stronger longer, others do not, so you’ll have to feel it out.
I have gotten a slight pepper taste from Vanilla Swirl but not always. I’ve heard some people get a pepper taste on LB VIC, but I’ve never tasted it there.
Got smooth Vanilla now(FLV) 1 week steep time is appealing. Next iteration will use that. Thanks Flavorah. Praying to win the next giant FLV giveaway!!
I think @wllmc, might just know MORE than he’s letting on. He shipped another 10 Sobucky flavors for testing, and threw in an INW Shisha Orange, which I just tried here, and, … yummm.
Yes, Shisha Orange is really good. And very strong. My last iteration of this recipe I used 4 drops/60ml and it still was as tad strong - for Orange Creamsicle anyway. However, 2 things. First, I want the mix to steep a full 3 weeks before trying anything else, even though I used the homogenizer. I find that with homogenization, basically everything is vapable right away, but most everything continues to develop afterward. Flavors which are notoriously long steepers are most obviously not fully developed (I may be contradicting myself here, but still learning, so stop making faces!) plus I don’t know how Shisha Orange changes over time. Secondly, I have another flavor coming - FAs Royal Orange. So depending on what happens with my TEST#3, I may be good, may have to make adjustments, or may have to scrap it. Either way, I GOTS to try the new orange flavor and see what’s up.
