Hoho, DingDong, TimTam Aussie Vs US Treats

I can not do that one either. It makes me swell up like I am so totally allergic to it.
Real sugar is fine.. but that is like lethal for me.

Same here to a point. If I drink a regular Mountain Dew, I feel like I am going to explode. There is Jones Soda Company that makes all their stuff with sugar. So so good.

We have Jones at Big lots… but my bbf at the corner shop here stocks the sugar pepsi mt dew etc for me. I trade him in vape juice :stuck_out_tongue:

Not sure but I would imagine us Aussies have propagated a variety that grows best here.

We have a cane toad that was brought out in 1930s because of a sugar cane bug. Now no more bugs but we have toads everywhere.

They don’t like it when you put salt on them and you can get high if you’re stupid enough to lick them.

@marsh8 Jamaican sugar cane is like thin bamboo with those rings on the outside. Usually grow in bunches, like 10 or more close. You’d peel it (that outer layer) and then suck on it. :+1:t2:

Jamaican oddity is canned cheese from NZ.

I saw Jeremy Wade do a show about those Cane Toads this year. They were freakin everywhere.

Well then that’s a definite no then that they are the same.
The sugar cane I’ve seen is much bigger than that description

They are classed as a pest now.

We can get it in the Mexican shops here or at the flea market…
Tasty and you can almost see where it is they make the rum from…

I’d say it was around a 3 inch diameter. Then again, that was at the side of my house, and we were always cutting it to eat/chew/suck.

I actually think I like the chocolate ones better than the strawberry. I want to try those salted caramel ones. I bet those are tasty.
