Wondering what the rest of the world thinks of America’s obsession with guns. If you could, would you own one?
I’m thinking no, since criminals don’t have them either. But i LOVE the shooting range. That kick, the noise and the holes we make are pretty damn, cool.
Go to your friends house that’s sitting on a lot of land, setup water melons or pumpkins and watch them explode!
Since guns ARE so prevalent, most of us figure if guns are banned only criminals will have guns. I would be willing to give up my guns (I’d miss the range) if it meant less death, but it would take a decade or more to get them all from the criminals.
I also figure criminals will get bigger knives. Would I shoot to kill? Depends on the situation. At one time, an ass pulled a knife on me and I pointed my gun at his balls. Told him to get down and call the cops. He did. Told him I’d cap his ass-hole if he didn’t. I would not have, as I was pretty sure he wished he wore diaper.
I used to have a .36 cap and ball revolver and a .45 cap and ball revolver. They were from kits I bought from Kmart. They had just introduced their “Blue Light Special”.
A friend of my pa’s owned some cottages on the shore of Lake Michigan that we frequented a couple times a year. Tiny quaint little town named Pentwater.
An old man was always selling “stuff” out of his garage. I bought an 1861 SpringField .50 caliber cap and ball. Never did shoot that thing. Too afraid it’d blow itself apart.
