After rewicking twice, and flooding twice, I finally looked a little closer and found that the culprit wasn’t my sub standard wicking abilities 
but rather, something like recently happened to @SessionDrummer , and @Illogik I hadn’t disassembled the glass section in month’s, but HAVE been running very hot tap water through my tanks to clean them, and think the expansion of the metal allowed the oring to sneak out of it’s groove. After installing a new one, the tank was once again able to hold a vacuum, AND it’s content’s!

Nearly always a damaged or missing o-ring is the culprit!
