E-liquid Homogenizer Project - Another Step Forward

OMG I LAUGEHD MY A$$ OFF with the popeye video. That was brilliant.

I have to remember to “watch” this thread and others.

I find myself with a bit of a dilemma. The GC, being aptly named, can totally clean up my unorganized “testing” area. It can literally change the game for me. Obviously I can rearrange my workspace by adding shelves and a dating system. Seems so “old school” now though, don’t you think?

With that in mind and knowing I have commitments to keep and SFT’s to complete. My main goal is the DIYer and whomever else may benefit from what I and others do. We may get “free” concentrates but we also put in a lot of time and effort. I usually sell my time for a lot more but this is for the vapers and the beginner and the smokers that haven’t found the way yet.

Yikes, this is getting long-winded eh?

Aannyywhoo, What do y’all think? Should I do SFT’s one at a time with the GC and have a much less complicated life or do I owe it to…? OK, wrong words. Is steep time important enough to organize and label and having hundreds of small to medium bottles, some with lots of liquid some with little? Is it so important that it needs to be relayed to the people?

I know a lot of y’all take extensive notes, do reviews, and do DIY shows, and more and I am curious to know what y’all think.

Thing is mate you can mix steep and vape multiple % in a single 10 min show

Ya, that’s awesome. So awesome. While on the subject of show and I know I have asked this multiple times but could you hook me up with a link?

Also, if anybody knows of other shows. I get overwhelmed sometimes and don’t get a chance to watch
but I want to.

ya it is fun - bit of work behind the scenes but it is forcing me to type out all my flavour notes from over the years from my bashed up notebooks

Oh I bet. I think your being modest. lol. Why retype though? I know if it were me I would have a hard time retyping any of my old note books.

Ya that is the tough bit deciphering the smudged scrawl - i will eventually add them all to the calculator here

Wow, that’s a lot of work.

Bottom line IMO?
People need to know what your impressions of the flavor are.

And second the percentage usage (with less importance, because that’s going to vary anyways depending on their hardware, preferred power levels, how long their taste buds have had to recover, whether they are a “super taster” or not, etc).

Anyone who’s serious (critical) about their mixes are going to be learning how the flavor acts at varying percentages anyways, so (for me) it still comes back to:

  • does the profile match the name on the bottle?
  • are there any unexpected/unwanted off-notes?
  • if it’s a complex flavor (think cinnamon Danish), is it heavier on the cinnamon or the Danish?
  • etc

Don’t stress about anyone wondering “how long does it need to ‘steep’…”
There’s always someone that will come along and offer suggestions for that. chuckles

I know I was there a week ago but I’ve slept since then… I COULD poogle it, but figured I’d let you do all the work… For a change

Hehe @Dan_the_Man, I HEAR YOU !!!

For better or worse, I don’t know any one who is, or has done more SFT than I have. If ANYONE can respect the “endless sea of bottles” it’s me.

With the GC, YOU are NOW empowered to decide what works for YOU. If I had one (and I don’t), and I had 21 flavors to test, and I could easily figure out how to clean it quickly in between mixing all of the flavors, I would probably homogenize all 21. Now, this would depend on how fast I could do it, and the clean up in between bottles, because if it became to laborious, that would change things. If I could blast through all the flavors, then I (or you) would have 21 nice little testers READY TO GO. You could then immediately start to test a few, do a vid or write them up like I do, take a day, go through a couple more, or whatever worked for you. Best case scenerio the GC would allow you to SKIP the steeping/wating time.

I’d probably mix them all up, and get to the testers, when I could, but that’s me.

Edit/Add:

My gut is telling me the cleanup afterwards (assuming more significant, probably disassembling/ drying, etc.) might be lengthier than a quick blast in water (quick clean before next flavor mix), so doing them one at a time, might cost you some setup/teardown/cleaning time, as opposed to blasting through all the flavors, with a quick blast in some water before the next flavor, and THEN only one final cleanup/drying.

@SessionDrummer I know of a couple who would be close - @Sheerluck_Ohms has over 800 pages in his flavour notes

LOL @woftam, where does he post his reviews ?

Mainly on the book of face

“Endless sea of bottles” doesn’t that sound like a song? Perfect imagery though.

How about it @anon96069639 or @SmilingOgre or anybody that knows. How does it work then, can we have a bottle of water nearby and do a quick rinse and get back to it?

I’m gonna head over to ELR and watch Walts video again…
