I have not, and I’m curious what differences you found after using them.
@SthrnMixer IMO, the Lunberjack pellets made QUITE a difference. It’s actually just below the level I got using my Weber Smoky Mountain. I think it’s safe to say it’s very noticeable. As far as fuel consumption, these are FAR superior to the Traeger’s, and I went through maybe not even a third of the bag on this smoke, which again, was quite noticeable compared to the Traeger’s. I have to get the pie done so I can check on ash levels to see, but so far, it’s a WIN/WIN using the Lumberjack’s.
What kinda would that be SD?
A Dutch Apple @Wayneo. A smidge heavy on the filling, and it leaked hehe.
@SthrnMixer after cleaning up the Ironwood, and checking the ash levels, they appeared to be slightly higher than the Traeger pellets. Not much but noticeable.
Still seems like a win/win for me with the Lumberjack pellets.
- Much better smoke flavor
- Much hotter burning, i.e. more efficient.
- Slightly more ash.

Last week of winter then I’ll have some barbie pics to share.
Getting hungry just typing. Nearly knock off time. Hungry bugger tonight.
Not into beans, in-fact I hate them! But what are those muffin looking things on the left? I’ll have some of them with my ribs thank you very much.
Man, I’m thinking Jalapeno Cornbread, white cheddar seashell Mac, Ribs, and beans. Beans are the best, especially full on homemade. Now, if you’re married, those beans are great for a ‘dutch oven’ Wives hate them
@marsh8, @Wayneo nailed it. I PACKED the Jala’s in this muffin bowl …
Can you have TOO many ?? Hehe, YES. There’s something UNIQUE that happens when you toss in a HUGE load of Jala’s into a cornmeal mixture. It’s almost as if the corn somehow MUTES the capsicum. Surprisingly NOT hot, but tasty, little pat of butter, and you’re good to go.
I actually prefer “Southern” green beans, with cornbread, and mac-n-cheese, or greens, but we were out.
