Do I really need an ohms tester for my first rda?

Got my Thunderhead, Blaze Solo! Watching a video on how to wick it and saw a coil ohms tester being used. Nice place to hold the rda while wicking, but is that a must have? I’m still smoking and I don’t want to wait a couple more weeks to start testing things.

Not a must have IF you have a non-mechanical (regulated) mod to read the ohms and build on. In all my time I have a good one, but have only ever used it to build and wick a coil. It’s a more stable base for me.

Should be good then. Smok Mag 18. Probably a bit unstable for wicking? What are some alternatives for a secure base to hold the 510?

and thanks!

Not economical, but I would buy 1 of these and put in a block of scrap wood

Called our local hardware store and they carry the 510 nuts. I’m gonna glue it to the corner of a table. Sound like a plan?

Sounds like your plan. I prefer small and mobile, but if you can see yourself always at that table, then go for it. Most of all I’m surprised your local hardware store would carry them.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’ll call the hardware store to see what they know. Otherwise I found some on Amazon. I’m in no rush, I just got my nic so I make some juices. I likes me some custards that need to steep a couple weeks anyway.

Like to keep my $$$ in our tiny community.
