Not really art, but i found my favorite build for the plus V2…22g SS316L, 6/7 wrap on a 3mm, crackling and popping sounds galor and a very warm thick vape at 115 watts with airflow fully open:)

Thanks so much @gopher_byrd . I’ll try and post more soon. I haven’t built many exotic coils of late as I’m pretty busy with production building. I have to find some time to dedicate to coil art.

Isn’t it a kind of dying art? I mean when coil building was in its hay day - prolific even - there seemed to be an unspoken competition of sorts to create the baddest looking yet highly functional coils that were exotic and intricate. Seems to me the spirit (or perhaps novelty) of it has worn off for the most part. Or am I wrong?

Back in the day there were actual competitions. I haven’t heard much now, not that I’ve been looking.

A lot of exotic builds these days are mainly for aesthetic value and not many are made to actually vape.
Sometimes Coil Wars holds a competition hosted by Dwayne Rambo.
But it has become somewhat of a dying art. We do have a few builders in Australia that build some amazingly artistic coils though.

I’m going to be ordering a pair of those funky looking magnifying glasses with interchangeable lenses of different strength’s that @SthrnMixer told me about. I just can’t see quite good enough.
