Apparently Amazon’s Ring “Search Party” Superbowl ad has caused a lot of uproar, with a metric ton of blowback.
What do you think ??
So far, I’m seeing a lot of unhappiness about it, and threats to cancel using Ring.

Sadly, as @fidalgo_vapes eluded to, it’s not just Amazon, or Ring, and it’s BEEN going on. I don’t want to go into all the details, but a while ago, had a client who was experiencing some “issues” after purchasing a large amount of “security cameras” for his site. The cameras were cheap, and from a particular country. We had advised him AGAINST using these cheaper, non-sanctioned devices, but he “saved money”.
Well, hehe, there were some “issues”. We ended up running some very deep packet level inspections, and monitored all inbound/outbound traffic, and let’s just say, there were some SERIOUS issues.
These are not the tools we were using, BUT, if you are curious, and want to just play around, and see what’s what, knowledge is power people.
