Specs:

Frustration free packaging, always a plus.

The kit included your typical coil insertion instruction card, user’s manual, USB charging cable, and a spare coil.

Unlike many pod systems out there, not too many parts or pieces to keep track of, and usage couldn’t be simpler.

Despite holding only a single 18650 battery, this setup felt VERY good in the hand. Very high end finish, fit, and feel, and reminded me of my Paranormal in that regard. On this color the Gunmetal looked outstanding, and was offset by black leather and red stitching.

The battery lid, catch, and mech were similarly finished, smooth to operate, and had no rattles, or accidental openings with a nice negative sign, alerting you to positive up !!!

The 0.96" TFT display was sharp, and clear, with limited and easy functionality. The fire, and adjustment buttons worked well, no rattling, and were nice and clicky. Pressing the fire and + buttons you could cycle through all of the available display colors.

The pod was fairly monolithic, with a fairly tinted body, and you could see the juice level with some effort. The texture on the pod release button was also a plus.

The mod and pod connections were flawless, and Wotofo stated that they sealed watertight.

Removing and inserting the pod were stupid easy, by depressing the release button, and tilting the pod in/out. When fully inserted you received a satisfying click.

The pod had the familiar rubber tab covering the fill port.

No cosmo bottle filling, but needle tip bottles were no problem.

Once filled, and with enough backlighting you could see your juice levels. Dual (fixed) airflow slots were built into the mod for all your airflow needs.

Testing/Usage:

Coming from an apprehensive mod/podder you could say I’m on the prowl for anything that doesn’t work right. First off, the nexCHIP chipset claimed 0.001s firing speed, and it damn sure felt like it. Super quick. While somewhat limited in functionality, you really had everything you needed, with nothing major missing.

  • 5 clicks – On/Off
  • 3 clicks – Power Arm/Disarm
  • Fire and + – Cycle through display colors
  • Up and Down – Wattage Lock

I ran it from 0 to 80 watts, and it actually produced a very warm vape at the top end, and my preferred wattage settled in to about 45-50 watts. Flavor was on point with no major take-offs, but I did have some missing pastry elements in some of my bakery tests, but nothing major. The 4.5ml tank kept the party going nicely without constantly having to re-fill, and both provided 0.2 ohm coils worked great with no issues, dry hits, leaking, or gurgling. The airflow was fixed, but seemed fairly middle of the road, and worked fine for DTL vaping. No MTL on this system.

The fit and finish on it def. reminded me of my Paranormals, felt great in the hand, and the super quick firing was noticed every time. Easy to use, fill, and replace coils in, left it sitting in the pretty damned good camp.

Pros:

  • Felt very good in hand
  • High quality feel, fit, and finish
  • 4.5ml capacity
  • Ultra quick firing
  • Flavor production was 8/10
  • Sharp, crisp display
  • Easy functionality
  • Compatible with GTX and PnPcoils

Cons:

  • Fixed airflow
  • Some bakery mixes revealed some profile reduction
  • Small fill port
  • Lacking adjustable brightness

Conclusion:

This will make my SECOND pretty damned good Mod/Pod review in a row, and I’m starting to see a trend here. If you think you don’t want to try a pod system, you might want to re-think that. This kit proves, they have come a long way. Very easy to use, fill, and carry. Basic functions, but didn’t leave anything out. Fast firing, with adequate flavor and vapor production, made it hard to fault this one. Minor take-offs for some bakery truncation, but that’s about it. It’s not always convenient to stuff your 2-3 batt cloud chucker in your pocket when out and about, and this one, might just surprise you.

Thanks again out to Sue @HealthCabin for sending this out. As of the writing of this review, I found out that they are close to releasing a RBA pod for this one !!! So let that sink in with all the upcoming PTMA, and Shipping Bans we’re all talking about.

Coming Soon !!!

Looks good @SessionDrummer, great rundown :+1:

Thanks @Rocky02852. Once they release the RBA it will be mine. You never know how these bans, PTMA will fall out, so having a rebuildable pocket rocket, might not be a bad thing.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, with respect to the RBA pod :+1:

Nicely done SD! My problem is not only deciding between the 3 or 4 pod setups reviewed here, that have interested me over the past few months, but also keeping in mind building an inventory of coils sufficient to keep it running after the politicians strip us of our freedom to shop for legal products next month! :man_shrugging:

VERY MUCH agreed @whthek. When I started the photography and initial note taking, I didn’t realize they were going to release an RBA for this, literally until I published, so at least Wotofo thought enough to get started on a RBA. If I find out exactly when it’s released, I’ll add that here.

Podders may have a hard road ahead, unless they offer a rebuildable option, IMO.

I find myself in the same boat, cotton and rayon irritate my throat to the point that I can’t regularly run my RDTA. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Coils are fine…go figure. Since my tank collection all run the same one,I’ve accumulated 500+ to feed them for the foreseeable future.

SD, if you or anyone reading this knows of any other material to try building with, please do tell. TY

Hmmm, that’s a tough one @whthek. You said cotton AND Rayon are both irritating ? What/how are you vaping now ?

I tried Rayon for all it’s benefits, but despite being billed as “super clean”, something tasted off to me, so the box sits. I’ve been back on KGD cotton for years now.

Give me more details of what and how you’re vaping now.

Another thing @whthek, if you’re getting a kick from cotton, make sure to buy organic, OR, at least NON-Bleached cotton.

I’ve only ever used Cotton Bacon and Cellu Cotton/100% Rayon. The only roll of wire I’ve ever owned is 24Ga. Master of Clouds A-1 Kanthal. My 2 rebuildables are a Goon 1.5 and a SC 23mm Aromamizer RDTA. I’ve tried singles and doubles along with different resistances, to no avail.

If you have trouble vaping Yellow Cake-FW, well that’s what happens to my throat(feels like there’s a golf ball stuck in it :flushed:) when I run either of the above setups…no matter the liquid. It takes 2 to 3 days to heal after stopping.

I run Smok .15 ohm mesh coils in all 18 of my Big Baby tanks, daily. That’s it!

It’s been disappointing, to say the least, because I enjoy coil building.

OK, so let me make sure I’m on target here. You’re using only pre-built mesh coils with cotton ?
If so, have you ever tried a mesh RBA/RTA with cotton ?

Yes

You mean like the Wotofo Profile, where you install a mesh and radius it with a tool and then slip the cotton underneath, on the deck? No, I haven’t.

Hey, could it be the wire that’s causing the irritation?

That’s what I’m wondering. Do you know the specifics of the mesh coils you are using now ?

Well, I’ll be damned…Stainless MIGHT be the answer! I’ll order a spool tom. If this proves out, I’m gonna be a happy man, Dman! Thank you so much for the follow through on this. :+1: Excited as hell now!!

Found this…made in the USA! What do you use? Oh man…if this works…fucking RDTA shopping spree coming up

I’m stuck on Kanthal currently.

Nice one bro :+1:
I still haven’t tried a pod. It’s the buying of coils that really put me off, so an RBA would be nice.
I was going to review the other one you did a review on, the Magma AIO I think, so far it hasn’t arrived in the post.
It’s been a long time so I’m afraid it got lost. It wouldn’t be the first thing getting lost in the post in this crazy time
