Who makes the best Peanut Butter flavour concentrate?

Simple question. Who makes the best Peanut Butter?
I need to get the richest flavor out of it. I have tried TFA and sorta liked it. I feel it needs a bit more punch though.

What is the highest percentage you’ve mixed it at, @MisterSadister ? Peanut Butter-TFA can be pushed quite high without caving in on itself. You may find that ‘punch’ by pushing it a bit.

Peanut Butter (CSC) 1.5% (6-22-21) – Good Peanut Butters are out there, but they can be hard to find. Typically PBs fall into two categories, Dry and Salty, or Creamy and Sweet. Chef’s seems to have figured out how to MERGE the two !!! Yes, an almost perfect combination of a creamy, sweet, salty, peanut butter with some dryness which added to the complexity. At 1.5% it was full, present, and delicious, with nothing out of place. It was about mid-level sweet, and leaned slightly towards the creamy sweet, but only slightly. No bitterness could be found, and there was a certain earthy-ness that kept it grounded. Soup to Nuts might just be applicable here, as this one covered a lot of bases, and checked most of the boxes. I think it could be best summed up like a Creamy Jif peanut butter paired with crunchy salted nuts. With it’s authenticity, complexity, and dual personalities I could see many uses for this one. Easily 9.75/10.

Peanut Butter (Delosi) 5% (1-9-21) – My vaping of Peanut Butters has fallen into TWO categories. Darker/Saltier or Sweeter/Creamier. Delosi seems to have almost bridged the gap with their Peanut Butter, because it appeared to be BOTH. Your PB needs will differ, so which one(s) you use, will differ as well. I’ve always liked CAP’s PB for it’s sweet, creamy, almost Jiff like qualities, but I always got an off/burned note on the tail end. This one, had both salty/dark and creamy/sweet qualities. Maybe split 50/50 but hard to say for sure. Sweetness was mid level, and with no off notes throwing it off track, I couldn’t find fault with it. It was an interesting take on PB as it literally seemed to straddle both worlds. If you are looking for a only salty, or only sweet, this one might not be for you. For a natural tasting PB that covered almost the entire PB spectrum, this one might be for you. 9.5/10.

Peanut Butter SC 2.5% (5-5-17) – 2 weeks steeping, artificial fake tasting like so many others, or a natural tasting authentic PB ?? The latter. This is a very natural tasting peanut butter. Not overly dark or toasted, but a sweeter, creamier medium peanut blend. Not a hint of artificial or fake tastes to this nose. To me, was very similar to a Payday candy bar, with very little of the nougatt. Not a lighter overly creamy, and too sweet like small PB crackers. Having been turned off by most other PB, this was a very welcome change. Just sweet enough, maybe a hint of salty, and creamy goodness. 9/10.

Taffy (Peanut Butter) (WF) 3.5% (4-15-22) – I was originally a little SCARED of this one, as PB in Taffy ??? !!! BUT, I do it for YOU GUYS, and @Lynda_Marie. OK, even though I hard feared loading this into the tank, when I smelled it, most of my fears were alleviated, BUT, as they say, it isn’t over, until it’s over. What in the HELL is a Taffy-ed Peanut Butter ? Well, it was actually quite good. Having had many bad PB’s before, that added to my initial distrust, but this PB was nice, rich, and creamy, and my fears quickly abated. It was “kinda” like CAP’s PB, in that it was sweeter, and creamier, BUT, tempered with taffy-like candy, that had some almost toffee notes to it. NOT a toffee, but with toffee NOTES in it. The ratio was close to 60% taffy, and 40% PB. The very end of the finish almost had a hint of a brule or burnt sugar to it, and it gave it a nice KICK at the end. Now the taffy part was a little harder to quantify. If WF had simply added creams or sweeteners, this would have been a “sweet PB”, or a “creamy PB” but there was SOMETHING, that did really convey a taffy-ness to this one. When paired with the fairly natural PB, it was actually a rather NEAT combination. It was a few ticks above mid level sweet, but not in an overpowering way. Nothing off-putting or out of place at this percentage, and the only “twanger” was the slight burnt sugar /brule note, but I think it actually added to the overall flavor. I can safely say, I have NO flavors like this on my racks, and that’s hard to do. All in, it was indeed a convincing Taffy PB / PB Taffy, and it actually did it VERY well. If you’ve got room, you probably don’t have one like this either. Plus plussed at 9.5/10.

I would say SSA Peanut Butter, It’s not too buttery tho imo,I like it with VT Butter Base at a 2:1 (PB/BB) ratio.

So I am revisiting this topic. But this time, I am goimg on a quest to try and find the best Peanut butter concentrate available here in South Africa.
My quest begins with me buying every single option that I can find.

Then the testing begins.
Today i will be mixing a single flavors test for each of these. The results of this test will be posted soon.

Here we go. Time to test each one. I did all my testing using Dead Rabbit V2 RDA on a DOVPO MVV.

Please take these notes with a grain of salt. The testers only had a 3 hour steep, so they might change a vit over time.

Let’s begin.

Capella Peanut Butter V1: Flavor Score: 6/10

Capella Peanut Butter V1 offers a rich and authentic peanut butter taste, but the bitter undertone might not appeal to everyone. The peanuty aftertaste is a nice touch, making it a decent option for peanut butter lovers.

The Flavor Apprentice Peanut Butter: Flavor Score: 3/10

The Flavor Apprentice Peanut Butter disappoints with its prominent raw peanut taste and lack of depth. It comes across as flat and uninteresting compared to other options.

The Flavor Apprentice DX Peanut Butter: Flavor Score: 8/10

The Flavor Apprentice DX Peanut Butter impresses with its well-balanced and slightly salty profile. It manages to avoid artificiality and bitterness, making it a commendable choice for an authentic peanut butter experience.

Hangsen Peanut Butter: Flavor Score: 9/10

Hangsen Peanut Butter is a pleasant surprise, being both cost-effective and incredibly authentic. It captures the essence of real peanuts and is reminiscent of enjoying peanuts at a bar. A bit more butteriness would have made it a perfect 10, but it remains an outstanding choice for pure peanut flavor lovers.

Ok. So I took your advice @Timwis. I put 1ml of each peanut butter in one bottle and tasted it. I did not expect it to so bloody good. It is creamy, peanuty, a little dry and just sweet enough. No bitter undertone and the peanut flavor stays with you for a while after you vape it. I literally found myself looking bits of peanut that might be stuck in my teeth.

I don’t think you need 6 flavors based on a 3 hour steep, followed by a days mix of all. All for a good peanut butter. IMHO you can get by with SSA and TFA’s DX.

But then again, all our taste buds are different.

I agree with you, to a point @Wayneo . This test is my way of trying to find my favorite peanut butter. The test is far from over. I am leaving then all to steep for a week before testing them again.

As for mixing them all together, well that was just a spot of fun.

I will be posting the results of the 7 day steep as soon as it is done.

Again, the results of this test is entirely my personal opinion and might (most likely will) be different from yours.

I have Flavorah Peanut Butter, WF Peanut Brittle and found the approx 2ml I have left of my Inawera Zwei Peanut. To be honest it’s only the Zwei Peanut I have used and not for a while so must give the other 2 a try!
