What scales do you all use for your DIY eliquid mixing?

Of course I’m a little OCD about accuracy, and when developing a recipe I Do mix by drops (while watching the scale),
that’s why some of my recipes have odd percentages, so be it…

This is exactly what I’m like too.

What’s annoying is when the concentrate I’m adding gets to 0.01g below the target weight…aaargh…how to do half a drop? I usually try to kinda wipe a bit of a drop on the neck of the bottle. How’s THAT for OCD?

That’s why I use a 0.001 scale for concentrate, once you try it there’s no going back…

I will be adding one to my ever-growing wish list!

Try this for OCD :star_struck: 1/2 drop is accomplished by squeezing the bottle til a drop is juuust about to fall, then release the pressure, and at the same time, tap the side of the bottle with a finger. Waalahh…1/2 a drop!

I’ll try that next mix I do

Mine are similar to the second ones and work great for me but then I only add VG and PG by weight then switch to drops for nic and concentrates!

You add your nic in drops? What nic are you buying? 10ml bottles with PG? I have a 250ml bottle of 72mg nic in the freezer, which is PG based and adding that by drops would be a bit of a chore lol.

Yeah my mistake, don’t know why I wrote that! I measure PG, VG and nic by weight!

I thought it had a 500g limit? Surely that’s not enough for your milk & honey % ?

Well shit…all this time I had vision’s of you breaking out the bathroom scale to weigh your M&H recipe’s. hehe… :slightly_smiling_face:

Just been reading about these and noticed they have a 60 second auto shutoff. Can that be disabled?

LOL @Illogik. I hope those scales work out for you, as once you find, whatever works for your mixing style, it REALLY opens up mixing. Saves time, waste, cleanup, the whole thing, is just easier, and faster. It IS after all, about YOUR style that dictates EVERYTHING.

I use a lot of Medicine Flower which are typically as Ultra Concentrated as you can get. I can mix them easily with the 501 with no issues. I think the only reason I picked up a heavier scale, as I had to mix up some 500g+ bottles, and just caved, rather than break them up. Luckily I never needed a micro scale, or then I’d have THREE to deal with LOL.

Let us know how they work out once they arrive.

Yes by just hitting the on / off button,
it must be 60 seconds of inactivity because I’ve never had it shut off while mixing but if I do walk away to have a sandwich when I come back I have to turn it back on, but I’ve never done that in the middle of dropping a flavor….
