Agreed @whthek, that’s what makes our LACK of action even more egregious, if not treasonous.
As is, was, and will be mentioned ad nauseam, the balloon’s existence was KNOWN about well before it even ENTERED our air space, so the fact, that WE allowed it to continue, UNINTERRUPTED until AFTER it had traversed the ENTIRE COUNTRY was nothing short of incompetent at best.
Let’s just hope it wasn’t a large payload dry run, with possible dispersion, or EMP being the most likely of the lot.
China claims that its balloon was a “civilian airship”
In the communist Red China, there is NO such thing, as a “Civilian airship”, be advised…
@whthek if you look closely at that video, the dark, lower “puff” of smoke would APPEAR as if the payload was targeted, NOT just the balloon, which I feel was a bad mistake. We SHOULD want to recover, and investigate the payload, not turn it to dust. I’m rather surprised they didn’t inject a “leak” into the balloon, which would then descend far more under control, for far less damage TO that payload, but what do I know.
Agreed, but, to me, it appeared that the payload fell ‘intact’ from the sky, and was targeted where it attached to the ‘civilian airship’(yah right). Biden likely called Xi beforehand (China OWNS the ‘Big Guy’), and was given the ok to shoot it down as long as it was destroyed. All of the photos were already downloaded to the PRC, anyway! I could go on, but this thread is supposed to ‘make you smile’.
The online comments I’ve read about how we could have taken down this balloon are hilarious. One person I read commented “why couldn’t that pilot have shot it down with bullets so it would lose helium and float back to Earth?”
I guess the whole 60k feet high thing doesn’t register with a lot of folks.
I love how things have changed. Certain ideologues thought they had the internet locked down. Rumble was an amazing alternative, as well as the lesser-known Odysee.
Elon Musk buying Twitter was quite a thrill ride. Those same ideologues lost their collective minds, seeing their beloved echo-chamber getting obliterated. W.I.P. But only after GAB, GETTR, TRUTH and others had created free speech platforms.
And now Disney is laying off 7k employees.
They all made their beds, so they have to sleep in them.
It does make me smile. It reminds me of the speedy removal of the rubble from the twin towers before any investigation was done.
What also makes me smile is the fact that I keep feeling really positive.
They are piling crap upon crap to scare the living daylights out of everyone and throw people into despair.
Disease, war, famine, disaster, they are pulling everything out that they have.
Somehow it’s not working on me. I feel cheerful, walk to the park with a grin on my face, having a chat here and there, just smiling at people in passing and getting it back from others.
That wasn’t the plan. Now that makes me smile even more.
More and more people go there anyway because they get censored elsewhere. They don’t have to advertise.
I heard people complaining about switching from WhatsApp to Signal. “How do you convince people to go there?”
It was really simple in my case. I told all my contacts I was switching to Signal and could be contacted there or via phone or message.
Then I deleted WhatsApp.
Everybody soon followed.
Same here!!! I do feel sympathy for those who allow bad actors to take the joy out of their lives. Far too many of those I think. Conversely, some folks are just wired to be relentlessly optimistic - finding the silver lining so to speak. I count myself among them.
I think the funniest thing about the Balloon ordeal is that they need to use balloons to get a map of the US when they have hundreds of Chinese Satellites globally.
