Design & Features

The Doric 60 Pro features a tube-shaped design with a subtly protruding fire button integrated into the body. This button serves dual purposes, activating the device to produce vapour and adjusting the power settings. This device has no auto draw function. Positioned just above the button are three small LED indicators that illuminate in different colours, providing clear feedback on the device’s operation and remaining battery life. The Type C charging port is located near the top on the rear of the device, when charging this device it does not allow you to vape it.

To power on the Doric 60 Pro, press the fire button five times. To adjust the power level, press the fire button three times, then continue pressing to cycle through the options until you reach the desired power level. The LEDs on the front of the pod will light up in different colours, indicating the selected power level:

  • Blue Optimal power
  • White Maximum power
  • Red Minimum power

The base of the Doric 60 Pro features a locking ring that secures the pod and controls its operation. When the ring is set to the open padlock symbol, the pod is active and can be operated using the firing button. Rotating the ring to the closed padlock symbol disables vaping and prevents any changes to the settings. While pressing the firing button five times also turns off the device, the locking ring offers a more convenient solution to both childproofing the device and accidental pocket firing when carrying.

The Doric Pro is equipped with the GENE.TT 2.0 Chipset which has a host of safety protections

PnP X Pod

The PnP X pod features a top airflow design with dual airflow inlets and an adjustable airflow control (AFC) ring that moves smoothly. The pod is magnetically secured and includes a convenient rubber bung at the bottom, which opens easily to reveal a generously sized fill port that accommodates most bottle nozzles, ensuring hassle-free refills. With a 5ml e-liquid capacity (2ml for TPD version). The pod comes with 2 different drip tips, a narrower MTL style tip for use with 0.8-ohm coil and a wider bore tip for DL vaping.

Coils

The kit comes with two coils: a 0.3-ohm coil for increased vapour production and a 0.8-ohm coil for a mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw. Additionally, the pod is compatible with other PnP X coils, such as the 0.3-ohm or 0.6-ohm options from the PnP range, offering flexibility to suit different vaping preferences. These coils, a push to fit and held in place very snugly with multiple O-rings.

Performance

The performance of the PnP X pod is solid, delivering excellent flavour quality and vapour production that correspond effectively with the chosen coil and wattage setting. The vapour remains consistently cool, even during extended chain vaping sessions, and coil longevity is commendable. Coil longevity was decent on both coils, The 0.3-ohm coil lasted me just over a week and the 0.8-ohm coil close to 2 weeks. They are rated for 100ml or 90 days on Voopoo’s website.

However, the pod design poses a challenge for the MTL experience. Even with the airflow completely closed, the draw remains a restricted RDL due to air leakage, which detracts from an authentic MTL draw. A redesign to address this airflow issue would significantly enhance the device’s performance for MTL users.

Final thought’s

The Doric 60 Pro is a solid, beginner-friendly kit that is straightforward to set up and operate. It offers good battery life, and its wattage range is well-suited to the included coils. The design and form factor are practical and appealing, It is comfortable to hold and use. I would expect replacement coils expected to be readily available. I experienced no leaking when testing this kit.

While the device has many strengths, there are some drawbacks. The included MTL drip tip, made of soft rubber, I did not like the feel of it. Additionally, the lack of an auto-draw function and the inability to vape while charging could be a disadvantage for some, especially since the device takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge. Nevertheless, its competitive price point makes it a decent beginner kit.

I would like to thank Sourcemore for sending the Doric 60 Pro over for review, and I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this one.
