So far I’ve used the Nom Nomz Banana, the Raspberry Jam and the VSO Pumpkin. The Raspberry Jam is delicious but at 1.75% with 0.25% TPA Raspberry Sweet, it covered up most of the bakery in one of my mixes. I’m working on a Pumpkin Spice Waffle recipe with the VSO Pumpkin and FLV Pumpkin Spice, but it’s not quite there yet. I can’t wait to try all of these!
Here’s the last version I mixed with substitions:
MB Classic Belgian Waffle @ 2.8%
SSA Crisp Waffle @ 0.25%
CAP Golden Butter @ 1.0%
FA Maple Syrup @ 1.33%
VSO Pumpkin @ 0.50%
FLV Pumpkin Spice @ 1.0%
FW Sucralose @ 0.5%
TPA Vanilla Swirl @ 2.5%
My test notes said “After steep pumpkin spice has mellowed to background note and can’t taste much waffle, butter, or maple. At 0.25% the SSA is “burning” the recipe. Reduce pumpkin spice, needs more work, not a keeper as is.”
I use the Cosmic Truth Flavor Calculator and ELR Median mix quantities to substitute flavors, and subbing both FW Waffle and TPA Belgian yields a total of 4.875% MB CBW. I think my next version will be:
MB Classic Belgian Waffle @ 4.875%
SSA Crisp Waffle - deleted
CAP Golden Butter @ 1.0%
FA Maple Syrup @ 1.33%
VSO Pumpkin @ 0.25%
FLV Pumpkin Spice @ 0.5%
FW Sucralose @ 0.5%
TPA Vanilla Swirl @ 2.5%
You’re right in the ballpark, with my fave waffle CBW-MB, though I’ve not pushed past 4% with it. Have you considered trying Waffle with Butter-SSA, @CaptainKirk ? It’s butter forward, with waffle in the back. It might allow you to eliminate the GB-CAP, or perhaps cut back on it. Nonetheless, your V2 looks good, and I’d like to hear your thoughts on how it comes out for you.
HiYa B - I don’t have SSA Waffle w/ Butter, so I adjusted the recipe, above a bit more - cut the CBW back to 3.75%, reduced the Butter to 0.5%, the Maple to 1.0%, and Pumpkin and Pumpkin Spice to 0.5% each. In the tester (mixed just now), I actually smell all the main notes. I have high hopes and I’ll test in a week, even though my steep notes say two! Keep ya’ posted!
I’ve got my eye on the Hellvape Trishul V2 Mech Mod, and man, this thing is wild. It’s got that old-school mech tube look but with a chip inside—best of both worlds? Maybe. The idea of a regulated safety net in a hard-hitting tube really speaks to me.
But here’s the real question—has anyone actually used one? Is it as good as it looks? Would you recommend it, or is this just a mech mod having an identity crisis? Let me know!
I went ahead and ordered it. The idea of being able to switch between full mech and semi mech really got my blood flowing. I think my Goon will look sick on it.
Thanks for that. I just received CAP LMP V1, which gave me most of the ingredients for one of the Dinner Lady Lemon Tart recipes, that I just mixed today for the first time. Unfortunately, I believe both my CAP Lemon Sicily and FA Custard look spoiled, but I mixed 'em up anyways. Taste test soon.
@whthek the Berserker was for a client, but the Thunderhead’s mine. I know I have a few review samples inbound, so time will be ehhh, like always, but I WOULD like to review the TH Elite.
