[ALPHA] [VCC] Vaping Community E-liquid Calculator - Bug Reports

No, those are there as a search reference atm.

Recipe filters are on the list, it’s a huge list… Please bear with me

No worries…Just making sure I didn’t break something

Appreciate the question, I know there’s quite a bit of confusion with the calculator atm and things are not that clear.

As far as coding goes, I have to decide between - Fixes / Tweaks / Features atm but I’ve been trying to juggle all 3 simultaneously :confounded:

You gave me fair warning last week, but, nonetheless, by continuing to visit here and get familiar, and maybe even help you out…I’ll be that much better off down the road.

The more people that use the calculator the better, it helps me massively, always ask if you are unsure, I appreciate it :+1:

As the calculator becomes more stable we will probably make a planned feature list public so you can see where we are heading.

A full guide to using the calculator is also planned but like everything it just takes time, thanks

@Grubby

Text over background hard to read; 404 link.

When viewing VSO Pear, and reviewing, was going to edit, and link is hard to make out

https://vccalc.vapingcommunity.co.uk/flavour/11245

When clicking the link, it pushed a 404.

I can however hit “Flavour Reviews” with the dropdown link:

https://vccalc.vapingcommunity.co.uk/flavourreviews

Appears to be a /dashboard/ issue.

I noticed when choosing Flavour Reviews on the drop down it appears to be only MY flavour reviews. Should the link in the dropdown be renamed to “My Flavour Reviews” ??

“Where did you buy it” link in Flavour Reviews pushes 404.

When viewing Flavour Review, “Where did you buy it” generated link pushes a 404.

What did you type into the URL field?

“VSO”.

I did test with a live URL and it DOES work. Only issue I see MIGHT be an overrun with longer URL’s. If actual desired URL’s are required, possible change on User input text box specifying URL.

Yeah, that will break it, so we need to add a URL and abbreviation something like this:

URL EXAMPLE

[URL EXAMPLE](https://vccalc.vapingcommunity.co.uk/flavour/11245)

Wraps nicely in the list, but looks like it will push in the actual flavour page.

Yeah it definitely will and looks unwieldy, added to the list

So what do you think, PRE-populate the text entry with that, specify URL from user, and they add to it in the input box ?

I’m not sure…

On a side note the form you see there is not converted to Bootstrap 4 yet, it looks awful, I’m surprised you haven’t mentioned it, it’s on the list as a fix but not a priority

Hehe, understood @grubby. I hate making these posts public, as it feels nit picking, as opposed to PM’s. BUT, as you said, the MORE that is fixed NOW, the BETTER everything gets, so I’m trying to help out. Trying not TO nit pick, “Hey Grubby, Jesus, the layout looks like shit, when you going to Bootrap it” ?? !!!

I think it’s important that these are public, so others can see that it has been addressed already and not ask the same questions.

Nitpick away, if it’s minor it will go on the list but won’t be a priority but it all helps us get to an end result and that’s what the aim is, to get things as good as they can be

:face_with_hand_over_mouth: I enjoy the reports that are a bit more reserved and constructive

Yeah hopefully something like that, when I re-write the form I’ll address that, should be able to rustle up a function to handle the conversion
