Vandy Vape Nova AIO Kit Review

Introduction

The Vandy Vape Nova AIO is a fresh new entry into the compact AIO scene, and it’s clear they’ve designed it with both customisation and performance in mind. Right out of the gate, the Nova AIO stands out with its pocket-friendly size, Boro tank compatibility, and the inclusion of an RBA. One of the big appeals here is the interchangeable panels—allowing vapers to easily switch up the look and personalize the device to match their style.

Design

Design-wise, the Nova AIO really leans into that compact, clean-cut look while staying practical and user-friendly. At 74 mm tall, 45 mm long, and just 26 mm wide, it’s definitely in that ultra-pocketable category. The exposed battery section adds some visual flair—especially if you’re rocking a cool battery wrap!

The 18650 battery is housed securely via a threaded cap at the bottom, which tightens down snugly with the included coin-style tool—a nice touch for a solid, rattle-free fit. Plus, props to VandyVape for clearly marking the battery orientation at the base of the tube. This included tool comes in handy for tightening down the inner dip tip tube also!

Yeah, they’ve undoubtedly taken a less is more approach with the branding on the Nova AIO, and it really works in its favour. That single Nova logo keeps things subtle and clean—nothing too loud or flashy. It’s got that minimalistic style that still feels premium.

The fire button placement on the opposite side keeps the overall silhouette sleek, and it’s ergonomically placed so it feels natural in the hand whether you’re thumb- or finger-firing. The zinc alloy body finished in that smooth matte black gives it a nice texture—not too slippery, but also not a fingerprint magnet, which is always a win.

Using stainless steel for the top, bottom, and removable panels gives the whole device a sturdy, high-end feel. The sliding removable front panel is held in place with magnets that have a good tolerance, with cutouts for the 0.4 " screen and Airflow intake and a large hole to see inside the boro tank. On the bottom there is your up and down buttons and a Type C port.

The included drip is comfortable with good threading

That’s a clever touch with the interchangeable air pins inside the drip tip—it’s not every day you see airflow customisation built into that part of the device.

I’m happy to see the inclusion of an adjustable positive pin on this device, this can help when using different Boro tanks in the mod and securing a good connection.

Nova RBA

The included Boro Tank and RBA is a great addition to the kit. The tank has dual fill ports one on the front and side sporting easy to open tabs and a decent fill porthole.

The tank also has airflow holes on both sides of the base and a tabs system on one side to mount the top in the correct position.

The Nova RBA is a 2 post bridge with wicking channels carved into the deck, large holes bored out of the side of the top cap. It comes with decent grub screws. Airflow comes from underneath the coil, and the airflow pins are easy to swap out.

Build

No included coils or cotton in this kit, so I chose to fit a coil I was sent by our very own @Tim_solway87, A lovely little kanthal Juggernaut which came out to 0.6 Ohms when all said and done.

The wicking process on this one is super easy, thread your cotton

Wet the wick

Pop the chimney section on

Trim off the access cotton, leaving a little bit protruding

Pop the RBA back in the tank and fill it up

Performance

Using the preinstalled 3 mm bottom airflow AFC pin and drip tip pin, I set about running the installed build at 40 Watts, wicking and vapour production was good, I eventually settled at 30 watts and the flavour and vapour performance delivered. The Nova did not get hot when chain vaping, and battery performance was very good with build. The VDP 2.0 chipset working well inside.

The firing button position takes some getting used to for some, but I did not have any issues when using this device. The screen to some may seem bit a bit small and the font difficult to read. I had no leaking issues from the boro tank when testing this device.

Verdict

Vandy Vape really seems to have nailed the balance between function and form with the Nova AIO—compact size, premium feel, tactile buttons, and the ability to personalize with panels and airflow tweaks makes it super appealing. Especially with a user-friendly RBA that delivers good performance out of the box, it’s a great entry point for folks who are Boro-curious but want something straightforward and reliable to start with.
