Throwback Vape Thread

I thought it would be great to post a vintage/retro/throwback vape thread as there are people been vaping close to 10 years now.

This is a throwback RDA, I bought this Nobu Naga rda after watching a review on Grimm Green’s channel.

I damn near forgot how to build dual coils in a 3 post. But sure is nice to go back in time when hardware was a bit rough around the edges .

I have a Goblin V1 but the glass is broken, now that was an amazing little RTA… When I get some extra money I’m going to try and find old 22mm rtas on chinese sites and see if I can get glass to modify, meaning sanding it down to fit.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Psyclone Kryten - once the most hated device I owned.

When I first got the Kryten I tried building it a couple of times, but the post design has two high center coil holes and two lower outside coil holes. Hard to see, but I found this design to be nearly impossible for me to build, and wicks tended to fall on and be trapped by the coil legs. I hated it so much I threw it in a box and never took it out again.

UNTIL, I went back through some old video bookmarks of mine and found this video from Vaping Biker:
The Kryten RDA from Psyclone - A cloudy beast of 24mm dripper! - YouTube
So I pulled out the Kryten again, followed The Biker’s instructions, and problems were solved! The o-rings are so tight that I can’t get it apart or adjust the airflow without tools (another reason I hated the Kryten), and the barrel has no stops, so you have to set the airflow off the unit and place it carefully.
However, for the first time since I bought it, the Kryten is delivering! I like most of my 810 drip tip units with these Steam Crave small bore drip tips that came on the Aromamizer Supreme and Meson. I prioritize flavor so I like some restriction and lower wattages.

With a pair of Wotofo Ni80 0.22 Ohm 5 wrap triple core coils @ 60 W, the Kryten is finally off my Hate List!
