I’m all for this type of initiative, especially since it’s all privately funded and not from the public coffers. How do people feel about this type of thing being run by an association that has big tobacco companies in it’s membership?. That still has me somewhat on the fence.

Leaves me dubious. Like you say, great to see this sort of initiative…but there’s a hidden agenda somewhere.
Now I’ve a suspicious mind (just ask Elvis) and am happy to be proved wrong…but time will tell.

UKVIA membership includes PMI, Japan International Tobacco, Fontem Ventures (Owned by imperial tobacco) and British American Tobacco.
