The vape industry has changed a lot over the past decade.
If you were around before 2020, you probably remember seeing the same brands mentioned everywhere — in vape shops, on forums, in reviews, and in conversations about new hardware and e-liquids.
But quite a few of those names seem to have disappeared.
Some brands were acquired.
Some changed direction.
Some stopped making certain products.
And some simply faded away as the market changed.
It got me thinking about how different the vaping landscape looks today compared with the late 2010s.
So I’m curious:
Which vape brands from before 2020 do you still remember?
Are there any brands you think genuinely survived and adapted well?
And which brands surprised you by disappearing?
For me, one of the interesting things is that it isn’t always obvious what happened to a brand. Sometimes the name is still around, but the company, products or audience have completely changed.

What do you think changed the vape industry the most after 2020?
Regulation?
Disposable/pod growth?
Changes in consumer tastes?
The decline of certain types of hardware?
Or simply too many brands competing for the same market?
