Congrats, Tanya!
@whthek it didn’t do very well on tc/ti i had no flavor
Good Morning @VapeAddict13Wife ,
Congratulations on your new Recurve! I have an original Recurve single myself and love it. I am by no means an expert on titanium wire, but I wanted to throw out two thoughts, and I welcome thoughts from others:
First, I have great results in my Recurve with a “standard” dual core fused clapton coil. I use a 3 mm ID Ni80 Wotofo DCFC rated at 0.28 Ohms at about 30 W and the Recurve generates a great vape for me. The thin gauge titanium wire you’re using might be better suited to low wattage MTL setups. You may be seeking a coil that might generate a bit more heat? @Timwis uses Ti regularly and I’m sure he would have valuable advice.
Second, I noticed from your mod (I have an Aegis X too!) that you have it set to 600 degrees F? I’d be careful about how much heat you put through a titanium wire, as I believe it’s known that Ti breaks down under high temps and generates harmful Titanium Dioxide? (See below for wire info?)

Good luck T!
@CaptainKirk we did end up taking that biled out and we put in 2 juggernauts in it and now the flavor is spot on lol
Yeah Titanium gives great flavour for little coils in MTL setups but is too thin and soft for suitable higher wattage DL builds, just not enough surface area! Yes have to be very careful with how hot Titanium gets but it’s more don’t use in power mode even when pulsing to get rid of hot spots but still make sure you have temp protection and definitely don’t torch the wire. In power mode when people vape god knows how hot the coil can get for some people because you are only controlling wattage/voltage but if chain vaping the coil is getting hotter and hotter but under any TC temp variable on vape mods the wire doesn’t get hot enough to give off toxins so from that point of view 600degrees is fine but can see why it drew attention as it is high and as one of the benefits of vaping using TC is dry vape protection then it seems it was more using TC so Titanium could be tried rather than anything else because 600 degrees is going to burn the cotton and not give proper dry burn protection!
Actually the temp part of my statement stands but I got brain fog and was talking about Zirconium which is my go to mtl wire, Titanium is fine for DL vaping I have only used for MTL though! As for flavour I have no idea how Titanium stands up when used for DL but I would imagine in an atty like the Recurve v2 you would be struggling with any single wire build even a dual build due to the surface area needed so using juggernauts a smart move!
