Mixing Oneshots (long fill)

I don’t want to start a new thread to ask this question, so I will do it here.

How do turn my e-liquid recipes into long fills? With the insane nicotine taxes here in South Africa, I can no longer mix and sell my my juices as e-liquids. So now I have to adapt and start doing long fills instead.

Mix them like you normally would be leave out the nicotine

I wish it was that simple.
If you can vape it, it gets taxed. With or without nic. You get taxed per ml of liquid, not by nic content.

So what the vape shops now do is, they sell a 30ml of flavour, a 60ml of VG and a 10ml of nic. then you only pay tax on 10ml instead of 100ml. So I need to figure out how to make all my flavours fit in a 30ml bottle.

It sounds easy, but if the plan is to make a 70/30 mix and you still need to add 10ml nic, it does not add up.

What is the nic going to be suspended in? VG or PG?

See, now the wheels are turning.
I normally buy my nic in PG, but it is available in VG.
That might just be the answer I was looking for.

How would you work out the 30ml of flavour from this example

What strength is the 10ml nicotine shot? In the example its 18mg/ml so this mix would require 2

I wish I had the answers.
But that is why I asked the question.
I really need help with this.

Taking my above example:

PG / Flavour / VG

If the flavour is 30ml suspended in PG then its 30g of PG…

7g flavour and 23g PG?
Or is it 30g of straight flavour concentrates? That would be strong asf right?

Then 60ml of VG would be 72g of VG when assuming that 1ml = 1.2g

Nicotine:

If you are using 18mg / ml PG 10ml nicotine shots, to get 3mg strength you would need 2 thats 20ml / 20g of PG

PG(flavour) 30ml + VG 60ml + Nicotine(PG) 20ml = 110ml at 70/30

For the above example to work at 70/30 the PG would be split equally over the flavour/PG/Nicotine
7g Flavour / 6.5g PG / 17.2g PG Nicotine

Your example:

I would try

flavour grams + added PG to make 30ml / 30g

60ml VG

One nicotine shot (PG) (assumed to be 18mg / ml)

That would result in 2mg / ml Nicotine strength at 60/40

Hope this makes sense

Thank you Grubby.

It is a lot of extra math. But I will do what needs to be done. But at the end of the day, my flavour/PG needs to be 30ml, the rest basically remains the same. I just need to make sure my nic shots are worked out perfectly.

Selling a few bottles of juice has been a great help for me, as it gave me some extra cash to spend on new flavours and things. It basically means I earn enough from it to almost vape for free. I don’t sell enough to make loads of extra cash, but that is not why I do it. I just want my hobby to pay for itself.

How moving to One Shots will effect this, remains to be seen.
