How can I choose one single flavour?

I’m a post grad research student and as part of my study investigating nicotine reward, I plan to invite people to use an e-cigarette whilst completing a task.

As only a single nic salt e-liquid flavour (0mg vs 20mg) will be used, I’d like to gain a general consensus of what flavours are mostly liked and disliked. So what are your best and worst flavours?

I’ve read in the past that the number one flavor folks order when vaping for the first time is strawberry.

Some people are strawberry mute, they can taste strawberries naturally but not in vape form so go for other flavors like watermelon, banana, mango, pineapple, apple as single flavors as you asked. Custards are also very popular if it counts as a single flavor.

From what I’ve seen over the years, most people tend to gravitate toward balanced fruit flavours because they’re easy to vape for long periods without becoming too heavy or sickly.

The flavours I hear praised most often are usually:

  • Strawberry

  • Mixed berries

  • Mango

  • Watermelon

  • Mint/menthol

  • Vanilla custard

The most divisive ones always seem to be:

  • Heavy floral flavours

  • Strong cinnamon

  • Very sweet candy profiles

  • Artificial banana

  • Overly smoky tobaccos

If you’re using only one flavour for a study, something simple and neutral like mixed berry, light mint or a balanced fruit flavour would probably get the least negative reactions overall.
