Fake Samsung 25R batteries?

I recently brought in a batch of Samsung 25R batteries from Walst Batteries in Shenzen, and it looks to me like they could be fakes.
Having gone through the list of things to look for at Battery Bro I note that these batteries do not have the 0 on the base, neither do they have a QC code under the top cap.
They do have the two sets of markings on the metal case, and the weight and measurements are reasonably close to the specs, but not spot on.
My research on the web did not produce any negative feedback on Walst Batteries, I have asked the question of them as to the authenticity of the batteries, and await a response.

I does look like we are up against a lot of fly by night operations these days unfortunately.
I have actually sent an e-mail to Samsung in NZ asking for their assistance, so I’ll see what comes of that.

I do not buy any batteries from Chinese or vaping related companies at all. I strictly use a company that is specialised in batteries. In the Netherlands that’s nkon.nl, I’m sure you must have something like that everywhere in the world.
They have a better price too, I’ve seen them going for twice the price at vaping companies.

I have not been able to source 25R’s in bulk anywhere in NZ at a reasonable price.
Most international companies are reticent to ship batteries by air, hence my decision to buy from China.
I will have a look at nkon.nl and see whether they are prepared to ship internationally though.

If you do buy from nkon.nl use this url to avoid the tax they add on (it is for international customers)

Also be aware it will take them quite some time to ship since i think they use standby freight with fedex (or dhl can’t recall been a long time since i bought from them due to the required lead time).

I have used illumn before but their shipping went crazy a few months ago

Recently I have bought wholesale in Australia since the overseas shipping pretty much kills any savings I was making purchasing from the USA (unless there is a sale on)

Thanks mate, I’ll bear that in mind.

I have had a couple of e-mails from Walst Batteries, and they are adamant that the Samsung 25R’s they supplied me are in fact genuine Samsung products.
I now await Samsung NZ’s response.

@woftam If you don’t mind me asking which wholesaler do you use in Australia.
I have tried all over NZ and am not able to find a wholesaler of these batteries, Samsung themselves were particularly unhelpful.

vapetraders the wholesale arm of vapoureyes (go to vapoureyes and click on the wholesale link at the bottom you will have to provide company details etc). They don’t have much on there at the moment tho just some 30T for 11.87 aud ea. I suspect due to the large sale the VE just had on batteries.

Thanks mate, I buy from Vapoureyes as well, but have never noticed their wholesale section, go figure

I checked out the VE/VT site and they apparently won’t ship batteries internationally.
Ho Hum back to the drawing board.
