I received the Black coloured version of the Eleaf iStick i75 kit, and there are 3 other colours to choose from Red, Blue, and Brown.
The Mod
The Eleaf iStick i75 frame has a glossy black finish with comfortable leather exterior made from Eco Leather. It has branding embossed on either side. It’s small form factor fits perfectly in the palm of your hand thanks to its oval profile made of soft, well-rounded curves. The mod has a 3000mAh internal battery and a max power out up to 75 Watts. It has a charging time of 45 min.
Up top, you have a solid spring-loaded 510 plate, which will accommodate tanks up to 25 mm in diameter. On the front you have a round indented clicky fire button, Below that an OLED display that shows Wattage, Ohms, and Battery percentage. Below the screen is a rocker styled + and - adjustment buttons and the USB-C charging socket. On the bottom of the device, you have some holes cut-outs for battery venting.
Features
Industry standard clicks of that fire button to turn the Mod on/off, and with 3 clicks you enter a menu where you can select from Power or Voltage mode. The clever chipset reads the installed resistance and suggests the appropriate power to apply to the coil. You can manually adjust the power from 1W to 75W in steps of 0.5W at a time, or you can adjust the voltage from 1V up to 9V in steps of 0.1V at a time. After each puff, you can read the duration and also monitor the charge level through the 5-bar indicator on the display. There is no puff counter on the display. The chipset uses all safety protections with the cut-off that activates after 10s of continuous use.
The EN AIR Tank
The EN Air Tank has a capacity of 3.5 ml and 2 ml (TPD). It boasts an easy slide top filling cap marked with the Eleaf branding on the tank to reveal a 3.7 mm diameter filling port supported with a rubber gasket to seal it once filled. The Tank has top air, where moving the airflow control ring reveal two types of air flow available, One Cyclops style inlet and a different section sporting 3 tiny airflow inlet holes. The510 drip tip is held in place securely with 2 rubber o-rings. Speaking of o-rings, I did find the red o-rings unnecessary and wished they had opted for clear ones instead.
The tank measures 22 mm with the standard glass fitted, and this increases to 27 mm when you fit the included bubble glass., while the tank measures 52 mm in height. The coils are easy to install, simply unscrew the base and push to fit. The EN AIR Tank comes in 2 colours, Black and Stainless Steel.
Coils and Performance
There are two included coils in the kit, A 0.8 Ohm Mesh Coil for RDL style vaping and a
1.2 Ohm Mesh Coil for some MTL action. Both of these coils are AS steel meshed coils, and there is an optional EN 0.6ohm Kantal coil available for this tank.
The 0.8 Ohm coil performed well, producing perfect flavour at the rated 18 Watts and airflow wide open, a really nice RDL style vape with a nice bit of warm vapour. Using a high nic 50/50 e-liquid, it produced an excellent throat hit. Longevity was great, with the coil lasting 2 weeks with no gurgling.
Next up the delightful 1.2 Ohm coil, I really liked the flavour from this one. Very satisfying MTL draw when closing the AFC down. And again the throat hit and vapour production was spot on. Good longevity, similar to the other coil. I enjoyed a high nic tobacco flavoured e-liquid, where the flavour shined while using this coil.
Final thoughts
I enjoyed my time testing this kit from Eleaf, the ergonomics are sport on. It is an extremely comfortable device to hold in the hand. The display is bright, and the large, simple font makes it easy to read the information displayed on the OLED screen. The tank performed very well during testing using the coils included, I experienced no leaking during my time testing this kit.
I would like to thank Eleaf for sending the iStick i75 kit over for review, and I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this one.
