Design & Features
The Eleaf iCita features a sleek, flat design that combines zinc alloy with textured vinyl for both durability and a comfortable grip. Airflow adjustment is managed through an integrated slider on the side of the device, allowing for effortless fine-tuning to suit your preferences. Additionally, the bottom of the device includes perforated holes to ensure proper battery venting and cooling.
The pod is securely held in place by strong magnets, providing an assuring snap upon insertion. There is a notched section on top to attach a lanyard. The touch-sensitive button, accented with a fingerprint design, is positioned on the front of the device. Just below this, a bright OLED screen displays key information such as battery status, wattage, resistance, and puff counter, I can report that all are very easy to read. Below the screen is where the Type-C charging port is located, the device takes about an hour to charge to 100%.
When the pod is inserted, the device automatically detects and sets the optimal wattage. However, you can manually adjust the wattage by tapping the touch-sensitive button five times, which brings up arrows on the screen for fine-tuning in one-watt increments. To power off the device, the button must be pressed 8 times!!
When vaping on the Eleaf iCita, the screen features a playful animation of a small rocket ship ascending to the top when your puff is complete. The device also includes an 8-second draw cut-off and is equipped with several safety protections, including over-charge protection, over-current protection, low battery protection, low-voltage protection, and short-circuit protection.
Pods
The iCita kit includes two pods: a 0.6-ohm pod rated for 35–40 watts and a 0.3-ohm pod rated for 15–25 watts. An additional 0.8-ohm pod is available for separate purchase. The filling tab is designed for convenience, opening and closing smoothly, and the generously sized filling port ensures hassle-free refills. The mouthpiece on these pods is very comfortable to use.
Performance
Starting with the 0.6-ohm pod and using a 50 VG/50 PG e-liquid at 25 watts, the performance was outstanding. The flavour was excellent, especially with the airflow set halfway, delivering a satisfying, warm, and restricted vape. Vapour production was equally impressive—warm, dense, and saturated. In terms of battery life, this pod lasted until around 300 puffs before the first recharge was needed, and overall, it held up impressively well, providing up to 1,600 glorious puffs.
Next, the 0.3-ohm pod at its maximum power of 40 watts truly shines. Paired with a 70VG/30PG e-liquid, each satisfying 8-second puff before the cut-off timer is a flavourful experience. The pod excels in delivering robust flavour, a strong throat hit, and impressive vapour production. In terms of battery life, it provided 231 satisfying puffs before the battery was fully exhausted, and very similar coil longevity to the 0.6 Ohm pod.
Final thought’s
Reviewing the Eleaf iCita was a true pleasure. Its stylish, sleek, and slim design makes it a pocket-friendly essential for daily use. The simplicity of operation, combined with excellent performance and satisfying vapour production, make it stand out. The auto-draw function and pod recognition worked flawlessly, and I encountered no leaking during testing. I would confidently recommend this device not only to beginners but also to experienced vapers, as it delivers a reliable and enjoyable experience for all.
I would like to thank Eleaf for sending the iCita over for review, and I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this one.
