We have aptly named thunder cars, it sounds like they are right around the corner from several miles away. We live about 3 miles away from "the world’s fastest 1/4 mile oval.

I’m 6mi. from Stafford Motor Speedway’s 1/2mi. track and on a calm Friday night with the wind out of the south, you can nearly make out the announcers words, and definitely tell what stretch the cars are on from difference in the loudness of exhaust tone! Back stretch equals exhaust aimed toward my house.

If you look very closely at the radiator on Gordon’s car… it says PWR By C&R. The word “By” is my actual handwriting. I drew up that whole stencil in Mastercam, but the boss didn’t like any of the fonts we had for the word “By”, so I freehanded it in Photoshop with my mouse and he said BOOM!
