Hey everyone!
I hope I’m posting in the right section … I did wonder if maybe this should be in the flavour section. Sorry if I messed up!
I’m in Australia and we have BS vaping laws here. I cannot import anything from another country (unless you know of one that will mark the order as aromatherapy oils on the customs declaration , not stick them in gorilla bottles, and can offer insurance in case I never receive them -LOL, see what I mean?!)
So I’m restricted to Aussie suppliers that make “food concentrates” (again LOL). As such I only have access to the following brands:
CAP
FLV
FW
FA
INW (small range)
TFA
WF (small range)
SSA (small range)
Flavrs
Duomei (small range)
RAW Flavours (cannot find reviews so I’m unsure about these ones)
I’ve read all 500+ (Yes, ALL) flavour reviews by SD. Taken lots of notes too! I’ll be using a pod system to start (Vaporesso Eco Nano and Oxva Xlim SQ Pro). So, after all that background, my question is…
From the above list of suppliers, and using a pod MTL system with nic salts, what would be your most recommended/favourite/must buy flavours for…
- Coffee
- Chocolate
- Cream
- Caramel
- Strawberry
- Banana
- Custard
- Biscuit/Cookie
- Vanilla
- Lemon
- Lime
- Peach
- Coconut
- Sour
- Icecream
- Nut
- Meringue
- Brown Sugar
- Mango
- Overall dessert… (gimme your top 3)
This will help me place my first order to work from and mix up a few recipes I’ve saved (to start with). If you can’t tell, I am an ACTUAL sweet tooth lmao. Luckily with vaping, it is one area of my life that I do NOT have to worry about my BGL (I’m a Type 1 diabetic - ironic, i know lol story of my life!)
Anyway, if you’ve read this far, you’re an absolute legend on my part. And if you can offer up some suggestions, you’ll be a god/goddess/all powerful entity in my book!! Thanks again,
Jess

Good Morning Jess/@Sweet_Tooth84 ,
I think you should approach this in the opposite order. When I first started vaping 6 years ago, I ordered some flavors that to this day, I’ve never opened and used. I would respectfully suggest:
- Decide what you might like to vape - fruits, desserts, tobacco? I found quite unexpectedly that I really like tobacco infused dessert recipes. I also found, equally unexpectedly, that I don’t care for chocolate or raisin rum in my vapes.
- Search out recipes that (1) fit your desires, and (2) the flavors you have available.
- Buy the specific flavors that fit your recipe needs. Just pick a couple of recipes at first that you think you’ll like.
- Keep notes. I have over 2000 recipes committed to my own off-line database, and I keep notes on every recipe I test and revise. Each revision gets a revision version (V1, V2, V3, etc…) assigned. I also have an extensive spreadsheet where I have one tab called “Coil Usage.” Every time I build a device (RDA, RTA, RDTA, etc…) I enter notes as to how I built it, vaped it, and what wattage works best for me in the device.
I’m not a real mixologist, so I frequently make substitutions to recipes based on what I have. I found that by using flavor median values and The Cosmic Truth Calculator (below) I can usually get pretty close to the original mixer’s intended profile, and, for me, close is good enough. (I don’t know why the title was changed.)

If you find a recipe, or recipes you like, feel free to give The Community a shoutout, and we can likely help you with selecting close substitutions. One of the major recipe sites has likely done the work for you already, and a recipe already exists. The Community is here to help - good luck!

Thanks so much CaptainKirk! That’s really valuable advice!
I actually started out the way you suggested but got so excited about recipes that I’ve written down over 100 recipes and their corresponding flavours haha! So I thought maybe if I got some suggestions for flavours that a lot of people loved and that were good in pod devices, that might help me narrow my list slightly lol.
Quite a few of the original flavours I added to cart (let’s just say I was up to $300 worth of 10ml sample bottles lol) I’ve since discovered are either horrible, or there are better options out there (thanks to reading reviews, especially SD’s).
My favourite flavours are desserts, coffees, creamy, nutty and fruits (juicy, sweet, maybe a sour kick sometimes). This is based on what I loved back when I was vaping in 2015. I haven’t found a good kiwi, pineapple, or grape which is why the fruit list in my original post is limited.
I don’t mind having a lot of flavours (the fear of further govt restrictions makes me want to stock up a bit) but I just don’t want to waste my money on flavours that the majority consensus think are woeful, or that don’t work well in pod systems as that’s what I’ve ordered to start with until I work out which RDA device to get based on my extremely limited options lol.
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it!
