Design

The Pixo Aura keeps things simple but stylish. Built from a lightweight metal-alloy chassis, it feels solid in hand while staying slim enough to slip easily into a pocket or bag. At just over 50 g, it strikes a balance between sturdiness and portability.

The device has a minimalist, button-free layout—everything is draw-activated, so there’s nothing to press or adjust. A small LED indicator strip on the front provides feedback for wattage, pod resistance, and battery level with clear colour coding, keeping the look clean while still functional.

On the side, an adjustable airflow slider gives you control over your draw, ranging from a tight, cigarette-like MTL pull to a looser RDL/DTL inhale. The tab has a rubber cap that is grippy and easy to adjust.

At the base, the USB-C port ensures quick, convenient charging 1 AMP speed for fast top-ups.

The pods sit flush in the top of the device with a secure magnetic connection, and their slightly tinted finish makes e-liquid levels easy to check without looking bulky. Aspire offers multiple pod resistances, and each one clicks neatly into place with no wiggle or rattle.

Pod

Out of the box, the Aura comes fitted with a 0.6Ω mesh pod, which is tuned for a smooth restricted direct lung (RDL) or loose mouth-to-lung (MTL) vape. Thanks to Aspire’s Smart Mode, the device automatically sets the wattage (around 14–19W) for optimal performance, so you don’t need to worry about adjustments.

But the Aura doesn’t stop there. The device is compatible with the full Pixo pod range, giving you four options to tailor your vape

  • 0.4Ω Mesh Pod (23–30W)
  • 1.0Ω Mesh Pod (10–15W)
  • 1.2Ω Mesh Pod (9–13W)

All pods feature a 3ml capacity,(2ml TPD) side-fill port, and integrated mesh coil, meaning there’s no messy coil swapping—when the pod is done, simply replace it. The magnetic connection keeps them secure while still being easy to pop in and out.

This range of pods makes the Pixo Aura a flexible choice, whether you prefer a cloudier RDL vape or a tight MTL hit, there’s a pod for your style.

Performance

In use, the 0.6 Ω pod strikes a good balance: warm vapour, excellent flavour clarity, and enough airflow range (thanks to the slider on the device) to switch between a tight RDL and a looser MTL draw. Coil life is dependable, with many users getting over 2 weeks of steady use before flavour begins to fade.

The Aura is built around ease of use, but it doesn’t cut corners on performance. With Smart Mode automatically setting the wattage based on the pod you’re using, the device consistently delivers a smooth and flavourful vape without needing manual adjustments.

Inside the Aura is a 1300 mAh battery, which is impressive for such a compact pod system, and 1300mAh has quickly become the industry standard for this size of pod now. With lower-resistance pods 0.6 Ω, expect around a solid day of regular vaping before requiring a recharge.

Charging is handled via USB-C with 1A fast charging, meaning the battery can go from low to full in just under an hour. The LED indicator clearly displays remaining battery life, so you’re never caught off guard.

Verdict

The Aspire Pixo Aura is another solid addition to the Pixo line up of pod devices. Aspire has kept the formula simple—clean design, smart wattage adjustment, and a solid 1300 mAh battery—while giving users flexibility through a wide range of compatible pods. Whether you’re chasing a tight MTL hit with nic salts or a smoother RDL draw with more vapour, the Aura adapts easily.

The included 0.6 Ω pod strikes a great balance for everyday vaping, but the real strength lies in the full pod range (0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 1.0Ω, 1.2Ω), which covers every vaping style without overcomplicating things. Battery life is another highlight—compact devices often struggle here, but the Aura’s 1300 mAh cell holds its own, easily lasting a full day even with the lower-resistance pods.

I would like to thank Aspire for sending the Pixo Aura Pod over for review, and I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this one.
