Thanks for describing them my friend. As mentioned before: I am one who does voiceovers and editing.

I just don’t feel that you are in anyway engaged in reviewing the kits in question. As my years as a teacher are creeping into 15 - the slight bit of bullshitting entailed in creating a positive mask when presenting information would help.

Obviously, This is in no way intended to be an insult - I just want another in the forum to do better.

I am happy to schedule a Zoom chat with me to share some tips (A very rare offer).

My Armour Max is a goner.
It was using up my new Vapcell K30 batteries in 3.5 hours at 30w on a 0.2ohm resistance coil.
I thought is was my old batteries that wasn’t making them last for me to get home from work, until I got the new batteries and tried them in it and the batteries still weren’t lasting me until I got home.
After a week of using the new batteries I know it was the mod that had giving up the ghost to make batteries last long enough and using to much power.

That definitely doesn’t sound right, although three and a half hours alone doesn’t tell us much without knowing the puff count. The important part is the sudden change from what the same setup used to deliver — and the fact that new batteries didn’t cure it.

My ARMOUR Max runs a Recoil R3 on dual 21700s, and I normally get roughly two days from a charge. Your result at 30W is miles away from my experience.

I’d give it one controlled investigation before holding the funeral:

  1. Make sure the two K30s are a properly married pair — same model, age and history.
  2. Charge them together in a decent external charger.
  3. If you’re using the 18650 adapters, inspect those and the battery-door contacts for looseness, dirt or damage.
  4. Use the mod until it reports empty, then check each cell separately in the charger.
  5. If one cell is substantially lower, suspect a contact or cell-imbalance problem.
  6. If both cells still carry healthy voltage but the mod reports them empty, its battery reading or cutoff may be failing.
  7. Check whether the cells drain while the mod is sitting unused.

If the mod becomes warm without firing, smells unusual or continues draining cells while idle, stop using it and remove the batteries. That is warranty or replacement territory, not something to keep nursing along.

I wouldn’t condemn the new batteries yet, but I wouldn’t trust the mod until those checks are done either. Burning through a fresh matched pair at 30W that quickly is bloody ridiculous unless you’re vaping through a snorkel.
