For anyone who’s new to pod systems, a few basic habits can make the experience a lot easier. Most of the common problems are actually pretty simple to avoid.
1. Check your e-liquid
Different pod systems can work better with different types of e-liquid. It’s worth checking the manufacturer’s recommendation before filling a new pod.
2. Give new pods some time
After filling a new pod, don’t immediately take a lot of puffs. Give the wick a few minutes to absorb the e-liquid first. This can help prevent a burnt taste.
3. Don’t overfill
Leave a little room when filling the pod. Overfilling can sometimes lead to leaking or flooding, especially if the pod isn’t sealed properly.
4. Keep the connection clean
A little condensation around the bottom of the pod is fairly common. Removing the pod and wiping the connection with a dry tissue occasionally can help keep everything working properly.
5. Replace worn pods
If the flavour starts becoming weak or you notice a burnt taste, the pod or coil may simply need replacing. Trying to keep using it usually doesn’t make the experience any better.
6. Take slower draws
You don’t necessarily need to pull as hard as possible. A slow, steady draw often works better with pod systems.
These are pretty basic tips, but they can save a lot of frustration when you’re getting used to a new device.
