What scales do you all use for your DIY eliquid mixing?

Interesting, dark chocolate is by far my favourite chocolate.

I have so much to learn with flavours, it’s kinda daunting just thinking about all the possible combos and what flavour will work with another. So much work to sft everything too.

Hehe, WELL, I think you will be very interested in MF’s.

About the next best thing to MF Dark Chocolate is the VT Dark Choco,
which is worth picking up, But they’re miles apart IMO…

How do you think flv sweetness compares to cap super sweet?
I’ve been using cap ss in my spicy spectacular mix since I started making it but it gunks coils super quick.
I made a 250ml bottle a few days ago and subbed out the cap ss for flv super sweet and can’t even tell the difference.
I haven’t checked the coils for gunk yet though but I’m guessing the rich cinnamon contributes to it as well.

I much prefer FLV, never been the biggest fan of super sweet, still have a 10ml from about 3 years ago with bugger all taken out of it.
SS to me is just like dumping a whole pile of sugar on top of the mix, where as sweetness will sit more through the mix, if that makes sense.

It does make sense yeah. I’m beginning to think my tastebuds are dead.

I’ve been filling my vape tanks from a 1L bottle of my spicy spectacular I made and recently have been thinking that it must have a short window of maximum flavour as I noticed the flavour seemed to becoming more and more subtle. So I made a fresh 250ml bottle 3 days ago and it tastes exactly the same lol

So I’ve either had vapers tongue for weeks or my taste buds are dead. :man_shrugging:

Idk what’s going on with it. When i first started vaping this flavour, after every puff I’d be all like “omg this tastes fucking amazing” but now…I’m just not anymore.

Have you just been vaping that alone and nothing else?
I have one main one that I vape all the time but have another couple that I have throughout the day.
Then I have 2 testing rdas, so a lot of variety I suppose.

You might have fatigue of the same flavour.

I buy both in large quantities, I prefer Super Sweet myself but you have to be aware if you already have sweet flavors in your mix and adjust as necessary. At 0.5% I have no problems with gunking coils.
The Sweetness FLV taste a little more artificial to me and linear.
I think Super Sweet also has some citric acid in it if I recall and sometimes you don’t want that note in a mix…

Yeah, I haven’t vaped anything else for weeks apart from a version with some orange Citrus added and another with lemon added but i could barely taste the difference in either.

This is actually a thing?

I’ve been thinking my flavour is fading over time.

it could be fading but it also could be fatigue. You body will start to ignore a flavour if you have it all the time best give it a little rest and vape a different mix, have a few beers (the beers wont help much but it is sure as shit a good excuse if you needed one)

I think you guys could be right (again!).
I stuck some banana toffee juice in my tfv16 as all 3 of my Steam Craves have my spicy spec in them. I vaped on that for half an hour or so then tried the spicy spec again and it definitely had a lot more taste than before switching.

What a bummer! To be able to enjoy the juice I want, I have to also vape a juice I don’t want.

I badly need to come up with something I like as much as my spicy spec but which is completely different…

This… IS something u NEED to do…, it might be a little time consuming, but it’s something u’ll thank urself 4 in the long run!.. anyway…, u might come up with a pretty good recipe without doing it…, but more than likely it will have some sort of off flavor or something like tht, tht u won’t be able to depict, & it will get a hell of a lot better doing proper SFT’s! I started mixing back in 2019 & I have not SFT’d all the flavors I have used at times…, but I have had A LOT more accomplishments at creating a recipe out of the flavors I have!, To me doing SFT’s really suck ass, & I’ve thought of plenty of mixes b4 tht I thought would work, but they were just mediocre mixes, or not really good at all, & once I started doing SFT’s I actually started making some stuff tht waz pretty good! What others taste, u may not, so SFT’s are very important!, hope this helps…

It does add to the pressure I’m putting myself under to start doing this. It’s the whole re-wicking after every flavour that is just a huge chore imo, which I dread to even think about starting.

One day…

Yea, the re-wicking part may be a hassle, but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be as much hassle on a regular round wire coil… I do most of my testing on a Wotofo Profile…, so I tend to use a hell of a lot more cotton tht way…, but when I’m done with one flavor, I just dry burn the mesh & clean the remaining flavor from the atomizer & rewick it & it’s good to go!

Only thing tht would help is to already have another one tht is good to go so u can get done with one flavor & start dropping another flavor on the other mod, then clean & re-wick tht one when u have time & set it up for another SFT!

Andrew, I fought, and fought, resisting SFT’ing for a long time, but @St3v0 has it right!

BUT…you will, as many have, come to it(or not) on your own term’s. Just look around VC…you can read all my whining about the subject  In the end, you’re doing it for YOU! Small step’s…couple flavor’s at a time. In the Calculator flavor stash(under inventory), there is an area for you to save your thought’s about what you think about each one. Get yourself an RDA to test with. Wicking alot quicker.

I used to use CAP SS, but I recently used PUR & I have only used it since…

Yeah that would make things easier. I only have 4 mods atm though, one of which I don’t have batteries for. The other 3 are my titan which I obviously use all day every day so that’s a no-go. I have my Geekvape L200 with a supreme v3 on it which I take with me when I go out somewhere, so that’s a no-go. The 3rd if a Vaporesso Target 200 which has an Aromamizer Plus V2 on it, which I use to try out any new mixes I make.
So right now I don’t really have the gear needed to do that. It would certainly be easier though, I agree there. Using a mesh deck would be easier too.

One step at a time…just remember whatever you do, or don’t do, you’re away from the cig’s, and THAT’S what count’s. :slightly_smiling_face:
