All Newcomers - Introduce yourselves

Yes both Rugby and AFL - but I rarely get the time to sit down and watch either (I do make time for the State Of Origin)

Outright UK produced gear?..man that’s a toughie, I honestly don’t know, I mean there will be no doubt custom mod builders over here but even then, the boards and other internals will more than likely be China made. Every manufacturer I work for is China and even those who claim to be UK producers will more than likely buy their parts from China, it’s a tall order these days man. Vaperz Cloud has a base in Birmingham but I don’t know if they manufacture in the UK or outsource overseas, they certainly don’t advertise the fact that they produce here, I doubt it though, some Mech makers will be based here too but again…once the companies get to a certain size they tend to switch to getting their devices made in China because it’s so much cheaper.
Maybe someone else here could chirp in with some info, I’ve had a quick Google-Fu but didn’t come up with anything obvious.

Only one i can think of that is UK based is Smog Mods but I just had a peak at their site and could only find liquid. I have a Smog Mods Mongrel from a few years ago and it is a ripper mech.

Pretty sure that VC while designed in both UK and USA are machined in China.

If it is a China ban only then you may want to look at some of the USA based manufacturers or Canadian.

  • Purge is completely US designed & manufactured
  • QP Designs are a Canadian company I think they are also manufactured in Nth America but I am not 100 sure.

If i think of some others I will post em up

What about Endless Mods?..Paul Harrison is the Director and he’s from Birmingham, I have him as a friend on FB, purely Mechs I think, the companies called Shade-E-Vaping, but again…I don’t know if they outsource for manufacturing :man_shrugging:

Sounds like a plan for world domination Woft :earth_americas: :sunglasses: …I have £15.46 and 2 awards neither of which are first…when do we start? :face_with_monocle:
Can we make them from Play-doh…

You are 2 awards ahead of any award I will ever get. Fortunately I found a uk based preschool that is willing to supply playdoh mod blanks for £15.46 so we will both need to save for postage and internals to make it happen.

I think we should settle for a name maybe NoDoh would fit.

Pictured are the prototypes.

Edit : @Mjag has just messaged me ordering 5 so we are in biz

That orange really pops eh :ok_hand:
All we have to do is make sure they take a 30 and Mjag will buy the lot, he’s a sucker for girth …
We could probably fashion a chip from one of these broken V-tech toys that litter my back garden, the TC will be vastly inaccurate but I bet it could throw out at least 0.0000032 watts of rampant power from 2 x AAA batteries…we prob shouldn’t talk about it anymore, if we say too much Smok will be all over this shit like a tramp on chips… :unamused:

I think smok already made a beta using all the above items but found it was too reliable so they shelved the project.

Sounds like he’s first in at a ruck, a good ball handler, and may be a back-door specialist?

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I’ll dig a little deeper.
Still using original mod I bought 4 years ago, Coolfire IV TC100, and fancy a change. I do have a few different tanks though.
Only gave up cigs in July 2019, due to health reasons.
I like the JAC products, although very limited, and have a couple of S22 Mods on order, but really like the SERIES-B DNA 75W mod.
Is a tad expensive though… :pensive:

Your could always make a mod yourself it is not super hard a dna 75 will run you £37.99 where the 75c is £53.95

Thanks for the tip, woftam, but I’m pretty useless with fiddly stuff like that.
Ftr, what’s the difference between the series B and C chips?
